Szeremeta: Golovkin Is Past His Prime But He Is Still Dangerous
“You cannot defeat Father Time. We know that,” Szeremeta noted during a recent Zoom media conference call to discuss Friday’s bout. “We know he is past his prime and I am entering mine.
“However, he is still a dangerous fighter and I have to be aware of that at all times.”
“Golovkin looked how he looked because of Derevyanchenko. Sergiy fought so well that night,” notes Szeremeta, dismissing claims of Golovkin’s demise while also studying the fight for his own benefit. “I was watching this fight very closely, observing what I could (mimic) like Derevyanchenko.
“When we fight, though, I want to up the tempo more than he did. The fight was very close, I don’t want our fight to be that close.”

looks juiced to the gills, what are the chances that at 38 he naturally became leaner yet more muscular than ever
maybe hired canelo as a 'nutrition' consultant

Damn it, even as a GGG fan that looks highly suspicious.
I think those 2 robberies at the hands of the Canelo/Vegas cartel totally stripped away whatever passion he had for boxing. Looks like GGG has decided if he can't beat them by playing straight he might as well as join them.
Whatever desire he then had to get all the belts and glory and also unify must have disappeared in the aftermath. Gennady Golovkin woke up to boxing reality.
This is a cruel and hard sport. It must be terribly difficult to watch drug cheats like Roid Mayweather, Clenelo Alvarez, and Nandralone Fury prosper.
First Pacquiao, and now GGG have also brought themselves into suspicion. This is a dirty game where no one outside Nonito Donnaire remains above doping doubt.
No one. Not Anthony Joshua, not Dillian Whyte, not Alexander Povetkin, not Hughie Fury, not Billy Joe Saunders, not Shannon Briggs, not Luiz Ortiz, not anyone you can think of.
With so many detours available testing in this game may as well be non-existent. Getting caught really takes some stupidity, or someone somewhere must really hate you.
Everyone knows.

Only thing that would make him more gay is if Crawford got murdered and nobody saw it.

those GGG shots look super sus, I mean, it could just be mid flex perfect lighting, but at 38, looking extra shred is always a bit sus. looks like he has joined canelo for a few guadalajaran, Carne En Su Jugo..
Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kamil Szeremeta - December 18, 2020
Speaking of those Golovkin photos, we know Gilgamesh will be giving Golovkin the majority of the rounds. As people are aware, Gil gives rounds to the boxer with the best body.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kamil Szeremeta - December 18, 2020
he freakin trained his ass off his whole life to look like this. fight fit. in tippety top shape as he always was/is.
making weight and flexxing in the spotlights i see not much difference compared to pictures of his other weigh ins.
the fight was made since when? he stayed in shape after the postponements, add a another longer fight camp to that, how could he look not in perfect condition after multiple months long rigorous fight camps on top of keeping up the already top condition?
it's not like he's fifty ffs.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kamil Szeremeta - December 18, 2020
Yup. It's crazy that some people have these bad unfounded suspicions about a long time clean profesional fighter. G is supposed to look that fit otherwise it would be something wrong with his work ethic and discpline as a pro fighter. Trained people can look shredded and fit even at 60 0r 70 y/o. Maybe some people expected to see Golovkin having the physique of 'Butterbean'. loladislav123 wrote: ↑17 Dec 2020, 21:06 he freakin trained his ass off his whole life to look like this. fight fit. in tippety top shape as he always was/is.

I hope Golovkin will look good in this fight and then fight Munguia or Murata.

So you’re not interested in seeing the Derevyanchenko rematch or for GGG to test himself against Charlo or Andrade?apollo creed wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 07:52I hope Golovkin will look good in this fight and then fight Munguia or Murata.![]()
You’d prefer Golovkin to take easier, less risky, options instead?
If the Canelo rematch doesn’t happen Cinco de Mayo 2021, then we might end up seeing GGG performing a voluntary against someone like Marcos Nader instead.
You might think I’m joking, but we’ve seen it before.
GGG previously chose to vacate his IBF title to face Martirosyan, instead of performing a mandatory defence against Derevyanchenko.
GGG also renounced his WBO mandatory challenger status to face the anonymous, unheralded and unaccomplished Steve Rolls rather than challenge for Demetrius Andrade's title.
