Yeh, he’s known he was one of the favourites to land the fight.. he’s should be in shape, and TBH, he and his team should have been preparing in some way or another for Canelo for at least a year now.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑17 Dec 2020, 13:28Smith said he’s been in the gym since mid-July. Smart move by canelo getting back on ppv. More people will spend the $70 on their remote than will sign up for dazn.

Because they couldn't buy it on TV. How many of them dropped it the next month. Though I have to admit that's a bigger figure than I would have bet on. I didn't think dazn ever had that many us subscribers.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑17 Dec 2020, 20:17 700k US viewers signed up and watched the canelo v Jacobs fight

Most dropped it over the course of the next few

Of course, but we're boxing nerds with access to streams and how many last second ppv buys have you made? 'casual' fans aren't going to watch boxing on their computer or phone.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑17 Dec 2020, 20:32 They had over a million for a little bit after that fight

I bet it does 150-200.
Re: Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs. Callum Smith - December 19, 2020
I'm paying $2.99 for it legally. Dazn is $2.99 a month in Australia. Just thought I would let people know.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑17 Dec 2020, 20:32 They had over a million for a little bit after that fight

I have dazn, but I know a big reason they raised the rates is because of hundreds of thousands signing up for canelo and then cancelling the next month and then they still did it.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑17 Dec 2020, 21:52I have a roku and stream in hd on a tv i assume thats what most people under 40 doOnetimeonly wrote: ↑17 Dec 2020, 20:36Of course, but we're boxing nerds with access to streams and how many last second ppv buys have you made? victor galindez vs. canelo at 175 ( no rehydration clause)
how would this fantasy fight go down?

James Toney v Canelo is my fantasy preference. Head movement v Head movement. Toney was slicker imo.

Nice, it hasn't been worth that this year. Pretty sure the super bantam card is the only thing I've watched.lazboy wrote: ↑17 Dec 2020, 21:00I'm paying $2.99 for it legally. CANELO 1000% woul've DESTROYED TONEY in the same DEVASTATING FASHION like he broke down so many other masterful boxers.
TO THE BODY!!!!
Toney would be quick work for nelo.
mercilessly brutalized by lethal body punching by the deadliest body puncher in boxing history.
wincing, rolling around on the canvas, hysterically gesturing at his rib cage, unsble to stop crying in pain from those earth shattering, crippling, soul snatching BODY SHOTS by the mexican messiah of boxing.
just one more legendary masterboxer who fell victim to one of canelo's singular knockout body blows!!
seriously... who are the fighters canelo really broke down to the body? i mean in reality?

Re: Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs. Callum Smith - December 19, 2020
if canelo/smith goes dowmn exactly like ryder/smith which was regarded by a lot of people as robbery, canelo wins by a shut out.
canelo could even throw half the punches ryder did and effectively land just a minor fraction of them and he gets every single round on the scorecards.
if smith won't be much more aggressive, elusive & active as in his lackluster performance versus ryder he has zero chance to win.
smith hopelessly behind on the scorecards in a to close to call all out action classic, nonstop back & forth with
both men on their last legs after a brutal all out war for 12 crueling rounds AND smith knocks out canelo cold with 5 seconds to go.

I expect this to be fairly close. If canelo wins going away id be impressed but he usually isnt active enough to do that
He only really dominates garbage like rocky or chavez jr.
Smith throws out a solid jab not that POS jab kovalev was throwing. Hes in his prime.
I expect a lot of close rounds where canelos bursts are contrasted with callums jab

You have to favor Alvarez, but Smith is a tall task. I don't much care who wins, it's a fantastic fight.

toney would beat canelo, i'm not saying easily but definitely.
my question to the experts on here is which fighters apart from a fragile fielding did canelo 'broke down to the body'?
what earned him that fearsome reputation of 'notorious bodysnatcher' that so many experts guids into believing he will exactly do this to smith, a rock solid, huge supermiddle who perfectly shields his midsection with his extra long arms, whom i don't recall ever being seriously hurt by a bodyshot?

I guess it comes from what he did to the great Rocky Fielding.

His body punching was enough to visibly make GGG wilt on occasions and really blunt his aggression compared to his usual style. If he’s good enough to do that with GGG I think he’s good enough to fold Smith, notwithstanding the size difference.adislav123 wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 13:26 toney would beat canelo, i'm not saying easily but definitely.

Re: Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs. Callum Smith - December 19, 2020
You’re high. GGG has never been hurt inside the ring by any punch. Canelo bought his Draw and Win just like he will most likely do tomorrow night. The games a lot easier when you just have to finish a fight to win it.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 20:06His body punching was enough to visibly make GGG wilt on occasions and really blunt his aggression compared to his usual style. I don’t even need to look bc I’m sure Moretti will be one of the judges tomorrow night. Floyd’s old hired gun now getting reached arounds from Canelo. I’m sure Smith will crumble like his big bro did but I’d love it if he went balls out and at least managed to damage Canelo.
