Wouldn't mind seeing Whyte vs Pulev at some point - love to see how Whyte copes with someone who "can't box" - as Whyte often said on the 5 live commentary on Saturday.

I know what you mean. Unless he is just full of front and actually cries himself to sleep, his ignorance/delusion is, bizarrely, a big strength.

All good options but I would prefer to see Ortiz get a final shot at a title before retirement. Beating Dillian could put him over the line and give us an entertaining fight

Ortiz said he’ll take the fight.. in the UK

im not sure about waiting around for pov at this point, seems like it could be a situation that drags along with uncertainty . maybe pov is actually trolling him

i like hunter although his name isnt in the mix there---you beat him and you at least beat a guy who drew with pov

Yeah I like the idea of moving on and learning. As long as it’s a tough opponent.

Hunter definitely would be very credible and probably an excellent fight.

Dillian needs to move forward before the likes of Joyce catch up and overtake him.

Hughie Fury or Joe Joyce both of whom beat him

This two seem like good options for me. Both winnable fights for Whyte and would generate some interest in UK.

Whyte needs to face a good name next. He needs to keep the momentum going that he had before the Povetkin upset.

Whyte should and probably will stay the hell away from Ruiz. He would get totally splattered. Whyte is not good enough boxer to beat Ruiz that way and he would loose in firefight.

Wilder would be ideal fight. Could make some coin and winner would be back in the mix for the top fights. 50/50 fight in my eyes.

Ortiz is another good option. He is getting old and is beatable. Big enough name to get back on tract ranking vice.

Hunter is another great option. I think he would take the fight. Would be a hard night for Whyte but I think he would win.

Chisora, Kuzmin, Hammer and Helenius would all be big step down

Ruiz would be a good fight if he ever gets himself in shape. He really let himself go between the Joshua fights.

Interesting you mention Helenius as he’s gone up in stock after destroying Kownacki in a slugfest and Helenius-Kownacki 2 seems to have stalled.

Martin Bakole's Trainer: Dillian Whyte is The One We'd Like To Fight

Billy Nelson, the trainer for heavyweight contender Martin Bakole, explained that his boxer’s potential to be a world heavyweight champion has been recognized by Anthony Joshua and Peter Fury.

Earlier this month, Bakole won a tough decision over Sergey Kuzmin on the Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev undercard.

According to Nelson, his boxer has made solid impressions though sparring sessions with Joshua, Hughie Fury, Joe Joyce and Daniel Dubois.

"AJ has told me that Martin will be a world champion," Nelson told Sky Sports. "So has [Joshua's trainer] Rob McCracken and so has [Hughie Fury's trainer] Peter Fury. Martin has looked brilliant in sparring.

"Martin is a very clever fighter who makes you think. McCracken thinks along the same lines as myself when it comes to sparring - as long as your brain is active, you don't need to be throwing bombs. If two smart operators are sharing the ring they have to be on the ball all the time. That's the case with Anthony and Martin. You can hear their brains ticking when they spar."

Bakole's sole defeat came in 2018, when he was stopped by top contender Michael Hunter.

Nelson would love to see his fighter get a crack at Dillian Whyte in the near future. He's confident Bakole would win that fight - and even offered to have Bakole step in on late notice when Alexander Povetkin withdrew from his November rematch with Whyte.

"Before he fought Wach at three weeks' notice, Martin only had two spars but went over to Poland and stopped him quicker than anyone had," Nelson said.

"People have questioned Martin's opponents since - but Rodney Hernandez went the distance with Michael Hunter and Adam Kownacki, but Martin destroyed him. And Ytalo Perea was a tough man who had never been stopped. If Martin is on his A-game, he really can beat anyone in the world. I am a great believer that the cream will rise to the top. Pressure? If Martin couldn't handle pressure, he would get a 9-5 job.

"Dillian Whyte is the one we'd like to fight. I've suggested it a few times to [Whyte and Bakole's promoter] Eddie Hearn. I suggested it when Alexander Povetkin pulled out of his fight with Whyte. Martin is technically better, punches harder and faster than Whyte. The only thing Whyte has over Martin is his experience."

Whyte-Bakole matchup sounds interesting. If Whyte receives shots like Kuzmin had, he'll probobly won't take them good like Kuzmin.
