Decent fight. Pittars looked vulnerable early on and Richards not much of a puncher. Good finish though.

Against all odds that was pretty damn enjoyable.

Couldn't really argue with the stoppage, seemed to stumble towards the ref around the count of 7.

Great finish

Absolutely correct stoppage by the referee. Pitters was lurching and if the ref had let it go on and he'd suffered a bad KO, everyone & his wife would have hammered Loughlin.

Measured performance from Richards I thought, looked sharper and more composed than Pitters and was pretty accurate throughout, aside from after the knockdown in R4 where he was telegraphing the right hand trying to force the finish. Big left hook to end things, back to the drawing board for Pitters. Pretty decent fight that.

It was a much better fight than expected, but that was down to Richards to be fair. As effective as Pitters is, he'll happily jab a guys head off all night rather than put on a show.

The knockdown forced Pitters to do more, which ultimately played into Richard's hands.

Spectacular finishing punches to end the fight.

If Richard's can grow in confidence from this win, he can definitely be a force at British title level and beyond.

Richards nails Pitters with right hands all night then ices him with a left hook, close fight, cagey fight, wasnt a great spectacle, Pitters showed the occasional aggression but too passive for me, Richards landed the bigger shots, rocked Pitters with the right in the 4th then clocked him with another to put him down, Pitters did recover well tbf but was still didnt engage enough, Richards was dangerous, had already showed he could hurt Pitters and took advantage, hurt him again in the 9th with rights then slept him with a left, stunning KO

Make Lyndon Arthur the mandatory for the British and have both guys get a nice big pay day.

I'm not sure which promoter would want to put on that fight. Arthur is dull as dishwater.

Given the opportunity Richards is prepared to be involved in entertaining fights and carries good power.

Thanks to Craig, Pitters v Richards was a much better fight than Yarde v Arthur which was a complete let down.

Richard's has taken on several demanding fights in his career and deserves his success.

A shame that God awful presenter on Channel 5 cut off Richards during his post fight interview, after springing an upset and winning the biggest fight of his career

Richards is a fair bit better than I thought he was. Credit to him.

I can’t see him vs. Arthur happening next - Arthur will almost certainly be rematching Yarde.

I caught up on a couple of issues of Boxing News yesterday - they gave Arthur vs Yarde 4/5 stars - not sure what fight they were watching.

You'd watch a fight again & again if it was given 4/5 stars....only someone who was into self-harm would watch Yarde v Arthur more than once.

Arthur clearly had an injured right hand. Against his previous opponent he wasn’t boring at all I didn’t think.

Richards has been in decent fights over 12 rounds as well.

I know Yarde has the rematch clause but he might wanna take another fight in the meantime.
