Not bad for a women's fight - better than Ryder vs Guy anyway.

Light work for GGG, overmatched opponent obviously but thought Gennady looked quite sharp nonetheless, jab was on point and he was putting combinations together accurately with both hands. Head movement was decent also when Kamil occasionally got off. Always enjoy watching my man G, even at 38.

Very tough. His corner were even harder than him. I thought they could have pulled him out after the fourth. Without the crowd, you could hear just how hard Golovkins punches are. He was sharp tonite.forcefraser wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 22:12 Tough dude the Polish fella. Took some brutal hammer in there

38 is just a number in the GGG case. He had almost no competetive fights, that's why he's still there. The Jacobs, Canelo and Derev bouts weren't indicating any signs of Golovkin's decline, those were just fights against the better opponents, that's why Golovkin didn't look like the terminator there. While Szeremeta was on about the same level as Rosado or Stevens, or Murray, or Lemieux, etc, etc, etc.NoScoutingReports wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 22:10 Light work for GGG, overmatched opponent obviously but thought Gennady looked quite sharp nonetheless, jab was on point and he was putting combinations together accurately with both hands. Hopefully GGG faces Charlo next.

Szeremeto can go back to Poland with his dignity. A hard man who'll hopefully be able to tell his grandchildren one day that he fought one of the very best.
Golovkin appeared as fresh, patient and freakishly hurtful of shot as ever. The gulf in class between him and Szeremeto was huge though.

Just watched the show from start to finish. A good show, quite enjoyed the commentary and the interviewers and, apart from the John Ryder fight, I enjoyed the show.

I started watching that. I couldn't adjust to 'John Ryder in 'boxer' mode'. switched off.maverick23 wrote: ↑19 Dec 2020, 06:22 Just watched the show from start to finish. A good show, quite enjoyed the commentary and the interviewers and, apart from the John Ryder fight, I enjoyed the show.

Re: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kamil Szeremeta - 18 December 2020
Professional job from Golovkin, dominated Szeremeta from start to finish and showed him the jump betweem European and World level, Szeremeta might not be all that but Golovkin did look his usual self, pressured Szeremeta with his feet, hard jab, good variety, Szeremeta down from a left hook in the 1st, a right hand in the, 2nd, stiffened Szeremeta with a right then sent him down with a left in the 4th and it was a double jab which had him down in the 7th, they weren't big knockdowns and I wasnt surprised to see Szeremeta allowed to continue after each KD but it was a good call from his corner not to allow him out for the 8th, he was a mile behind and never troubled Golovkin one bit, one thing you can say about Szeremeta is that he kept getting up but he was on a hiding to nothing, Golovkin's left hooks to thr body were sickening as well, Szeremeta might not have been all that but Golovkin looked great, cool and collected
