He’s pissed everyone off it seems (apart from the nutters), even the devout Muslim lad at work. I mean, I’m pretty much in man love with him just for jumping the cage, which like Fury doing fking Batman at the Klit conference, was the kind of utter genius moment I’d forgive a bloke nearly anything for, and even I say fck him.
Oh yeah, he’s a massive prick. All the good work he’s done (cage jump) has been undone by his terroristy behaviour.

He is. Whiney fake gangster who bitched like a little girl when the UFC and the Nevada State Athletic Commission issued his punishment.

Lol, I meant more along the lines of political views, arrests, etc...

Personality us the #1 reason to hate an athlete after playing on the wrong team. He's also the religious street gangster. That's what started it even before the whining.

Is Dana Whites Contender thing diminishing the quality of UFC roster?

The prelims of this Thompson card has featured a few guys from it and it's been absolute trash.

To some extent, yes. I mean it's not the fault of the show itself, but most of the guys who come through that show are the MMA equivalent of clubfighters, and only a very small handful have potential to be serious contenders.

Meanwhile, the UFC has been very active in cutting fighters from the roster, including a lot of very good contenders like Romero, Anderson, Formiga, Dodson, and Khabilov.

The new ownership is definitely concerned with cost-cutting and I think this is part of a trend that has been ongoing for some time now. The UFC used to put a high priority on gathering all the best fighters in the world under their banner. That priority seems greatly diminished today.

You’ve been saying this a while mate and while I didn’t see it then I do now. The UFC still has a tremendous roster but I can see things changing.

Yea they still have most of the best fighters in the world, but their commitment to having every elite fighter in the world under their banner seems greatly diminished now.

Hell if Jon Jones doesn't fight at LHW again, Bellator can pretty convincingly claim that their LHW title is just as important and legitimate as the UFC's now. First time I've ever been able to say that about any non-UFC title in many years.
