Re: Round-by-Round: Gennady Golovkin vs. Kamil Szeremeta - December 18, 2020
The problem I have with women’s boxing, barring a couple of notable exceptions, is that it needs a couple of decades for there to be enough competitors to ensure that the very best ladies that do compete on televised shows, possess skills that are reasonably comparable to their male counterparts.
Twenty years ago, females were terribly poor at soccer, laughably bad, but the sport has grown in popularity, to the point that women’s football is reasonably skilful and impressive to watch.
It might take a while, but I hope that women’s boxing follows the same route, because what we’re witnessing with the fight between Choi and Silgado is absolutely dire!!!
This is the co-headlining main event.
And you know how the saying goes...
Go woke and go broke!!!

The Korean lady has talent, the match is actually way nicer than the last one, a usual female mismatch though.

It’s not that bad EO. Better than John ‘mike Tyson’ Ryder v mike ‘bonecrusher’ guy. In relation to your comments, I’ve heard the money and popularity for women is with the ufc/mma. Seems that any decent boxer and or fighter will be drawn there, for now.

Even the DAZN commentators have discussed the lack of quality in women’s boxing.
And by the way...
Who said that John Ryder was the 168lbs equivalent of the prime version of Mike Tyson?
If you can’t quote their words to justify your hideously moronic claim, then shut the fück up!

92 - 92 Choi. It had some fun bits, Silgado brought some brawling.

Someone defiantly compared Ryder to Tyson, never specified his primeness, an because i was watching boxing rather than being a responsible journalist i don't have the exact quote... Maybe you could rewatch it, get the exact quote and write a nice 1000 word essay that noone will read on why john Ryder is not actually mike Tyson..Enlightened-One wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 21:12Even the DAZN commentators have discussed the lack of quality in women’s boxing.

Nobody did. Instead of being vague. Quote their words.gregregegg wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 21:24Someone defiantly compared Ryder to Tyson, never specified his primeness, an because i was watching boxing rather than being a responsible journalist i don't have the exact quote... We’re not talking about religious text here, where we’re supposed to have faith in fictional claims.
Either quote the words or remain silent!!!

Szeremeta stopped two of his first sixteen opponents.

The feather-fisted Szeremeta isn’t even throwing shots.

DAZN are clearly pretending that GGG demonstrating his so called “impressive performance of old” is their preferred tag line to dishonestly market the Canelo rematch.

Do you know that some people seriously claimed that GGG’s bout against Szeremeta wasn’t a mismatch?

He’s moving his arm, but they aren’t punches.

I really can’t wait for GGG’s fans to dishonestly pretend that his bout against Szeremeta isn’t a mismatch.

Do I deserve kudos for predicting GGG’s bout against Szeremeta being a mismatch?

This isn't a mismatch - Szermeta is the Polish MW champion.
