all for £1.99?? :yay: :yay:
I guess if you didn't sign up until the 3rd December then your first month would also include Garcia v Campbell? Quality either way.

• GGG-Szeremeta (won’t watch, maybe view the highlights on YouTube a day or so afterwards, because it’s a disgraceful mismatch. Gennadiy would have to suddenly grow “old” and shot overnight in order for this bout to be remotely competitive. Also, the undercard is really bad!!!)

• Canelo-Smith (decent bout, where I favour the Mexican to win with 65% probability. The undercard is pretty bad though)

• Garcia-Campbell (won’t watch live, because the undercard will be terrible [nothing has been announced yet, but the trend will likely continue], and the main event doesn’t really interest me that much. I rate the American as having an 80% chance of victory)

I might be tempted to take out a subscription on the 19th December, depending on the quality of any additional shows announced during the meantime.

I don’t know what’s happened to me recently, but I’m finding it increasingly challenging to motivate myself to pay to watch fights. Apart from a couple of exceptions, 2020 has pretty much been the year of the mismatch/tune-up.

And my lifestyle prevents me from watching events live from 1am to 5.30am. It has to be a special occasion, a super-fight, to compel me to lose sleep.

I appreciate DAZN’s introductory launch price is incredibly cheap, but you're not getting very much for your money either, because the streaming service has very little sporting content or competitive live events to broadcast.

It's bizarre. I think the value is incredible and only the other week I commented saying I would sign up but it may actually still not be worth it for me.

I am not stopping up all night to watch boxing. Those days have been and gone for me. So seeing most of the stuff they show live won't be happening. Therefore, I may aswell just wait for YouTube uploads.

In America DAZN shows all the scheduled fights not just a main and co-main event like a regular TV broadcast.
I don't know if they'll do that on your side of the pond but quite often a fight or two buried deep on the under card tends to be pretty good.
Obviously, they do have some shows that produce nothing but mismatches on the under card but I wouldn't call that the norm(especially before the pandemic).

I don’t know whether it’s due to me enjoying too many glasses wine tonight, but I’ve suddenly changed my mind, because I felt compelled to watch tonight’s GGG-Szeremeta mismatch and also tomorrow’s Canelo-Smith bout.

I’ve caved in, because £1.99 didn’t seem an unreasonable price to pay to see Canelo & GGG fight.

So there you have it, I’ve changed my mind. I only hope I'm able to remain awake long enough for the next couple of nights to enjoy my purchases.

I sympathise, it must be tough following boxing, what with that regular cabaret gig at the Blue Oyster Bar.

how does the drag costume work if you're wearing the mask, bro?

she was on a short break before her final set. I believe 'I Will Survive' is the highlight her loyal fans wait for every week. It's why the Blue Oyster is such a popular attraction on the local 'scene' :TU:

IMHO, I don't think it had anything to do with the wine. I think during the build up to this fight you allowed quite a few fellow posters get inside your head. It was quite obvious they were bigging up Szeremeta's chances in a deliberate attempt just to wind you up.

Looking at the round-by-round thread, where you were posting repetitively to yourself followed up by numerous quotes (that must have taken a long time to put together, especially at that time of the night  ) it is also obvious that they accomplished what they set out to do. The fact that you were quite oblivious to this is quite worrying as they will probably attempt to do so again.

You may attempt to deny this, but to suddenly decide to go against your principles and lifestyle to pay and stay up throughout the night to watch a fight you classed as a mismatch from the start, if you're truthful to yourself you'll admit that they managed to get to you.

I expect any reply will be along the lines of denial, stating that you were correct about the fight all along, with a couple of emojis thrown in to deflect from the truth. They got to you kid, no harm in admitting it. :TU:

serious conversations to be had with his management team

many concerned fans are thinking he might be best to avoid the elite and be content to be matched with the likes of bnovelist, and that kid 'jip' from now on

it's important a poster in the waning days of his career is correctly matched and sensitively handled

this is a really good point, some people dispute the importance of the pre-fight 'mind games' and the staredown and so on, but i think it's clear this is a fight EO lost before the opening bell

i'd say it would be a useful lesson learned for the rest of his career, but I fear the damage EO has taken recently, he will have to be satisfied with the gatekeeper role, at best, and more likely the role of a stepping-stone journeyman. new posters will end up using him as a footstool, sad really when you think of his impressive post history, but all great careers come to an end :salut:

I said quite a long time ago that as a 'volume poster' EO was always likely to have a shorter peak, than, for example, myself, (where definitely the discernment and keen analytical powers just keep improving and serving as a gift to the forum, really), EO has always had that style where he took an awful lot of punishment as he waded forward repeating himself, the equivalent of walking straight in and throwing lots of wide hooks with his chin up in the air, no wonder his longevity has been compromised.
