Oh if you just meant that he wasn't impressive in this fight, that makes more sense.aicheligad wrote: ↑19 Dec 2020, 19:11He did better since the round 4 or 5, but Durodola did really well in rounds 2-3. Durodola lost clearly to ancient Diablo Włodarczyk (śhit, Durodola is even older!), he also got stopped early by Cieślak, it wasn't an impressive showing from Makabu, at least not for his recent standards.jujigatame wrote: ↑19 Dec 2020, 19:07 Thanks for the link. I turned it on in the 5th and it was fun while it lasted.
If Makabu "sucks" then I dunno what to think about the rest of the current CW crop.
Personally I'd pick him to beat just about any other CW aside from Briedis.

Yes, that's what I meant. I had him at #2 too, but I think that, aside from Briedis, Okolie has a decent shot at beating him, I think that Cieślak would win the rematch (at least outside of Kinshasa), the likes of Goulamirian, Głowacki, Masternak would have a decent shot at him too. Not that I would favour all those mentioned fighters against Makabu, he is a clever fighter and with his power he can knock everyone out, I just suppose that he is on decline now.jujigatame wrote: ↑19 Dec 2020, 21:59Oh if you just meant that he wasn't impressive in this fight, that makes more sense.aicheligad wrote: ↑19 Dec 2020, 19:11He did better since the round 4 or 5, but Durodola did really well in rounds 2-3. Next year he will fight Papin again, wouldn't be surprised if he loses this time.

Papin looked so bad last time, was getting totally clowned 5-0 until he caught and stopped Fayfer. if he's not improved since he fought makabu i'd expect makabu to win again....tbh it should've been a 116-111 /115-112 ud for makabu last time
thing with makabu, he's not old for a cruiser, but it seems like every one of his fights is a tough physical fight for him, not sure how much longer he can fight like that before he starts slowing down. still, at the moment he's one of the best cruisers, i am confident that briedis and dort at least would ko him, prrobably pretty badly, but outside the very top few guys he's in with a good chance vs anyone

An expected outcome. It'll be great, if Makabu fights someone more dangerous next. Briedis, Okolie, Glowacki, Dorticos - any top guy. Or prospect Egorov. Or even Canelo,
