No. Just because he beat an 37 years old light-heavyweight Kovalev that doesn't mean he has a chance against a heavyweight, or even a cruiserweight.

I would pick him over a prime Charr, who is garbage. I’d also pick him against a Malik Scott type. Chisora would be very interesting, but I’d pick Canelo. The likes of Parker and Usyk would probably be a bridge too far.

He has more than a chance against Charr. He'd beat him in one sided fashion.

Size alone doesn't make up for the fact that somebody is better than you in every conceivable way.

Several Heavyweights would be a bridge too far. Hell a few Light Heavyweights would be too.

Charr ain't sh*t though. Canelo would mop the floor with him.

I mention Scott because he’s the sort of heavyweight who doesn’t really impose his size that much and isn’t a hard puncher.

Chisora would be a lot tougher for Canelo because he has a come forward style that will make canelo feel the extra weight he’s up against, but that said Canelo could beat him for sure.

If only Charr fights like he doesn't know he has a tremendous weight advantage against Canelo, and if he tries to box with Canelo, instead of using his big weight to overpower him by tiring him out.

Canelo said his ideal weight is 160 lbs, even light-heavy 174 lbs was exception for him.

Charr is what? 230 lbs or 240 lbs at heavyweight?

How much weight can Canelo get for heavyweight fight maximum, 190 lbs if we are generous? You realize there 40 lbs difference will be when they fight at heavyweight right?

But again, if Charr tries to box with him, he would lose. But he must out of his mind if he tries to do that when he is 40 lbs is heavier than Canelo, he can basicaly tire him out even if he wrestle with the guy in the earlier rounds by just holding him whenever they get close.

But if Canelo turns into a butterbean just for this fight, then perhaps but then he was never tested as a butterbean so we've no idea how he can fight as a butterbean

Canelo could come in weighing 168. Charr could have 70 pounds on him, and fight to the best of his ability, and he still would be doing well to even win a round.

Again, size alone ain't gonna get it for ya. He probably wouldn't land a significant punch on Canelo. He's not anywhere near that skill level.

Can't see how that furthers his career.
He would be the WBA Heavyweight champion if he won.
Joshua is the WBA heavyweight title holder :maybe:
No, I believe if you contact the WBA....Manuel Charr is the WBA Heavyweight Champion.

Check out this official WBA link.....

https://www.wbaboxing.com/wba-boxer-pro ... -Nwyi1OKhA

Joshua is the Super Champion.

I know what you mean about who really is the champ.....but Charr’s belt would be enough to promote the fight....and 50 years from now when they write Canelo’s obituary, it would say he was a heavyweight champion.

Does Charr have any kinda grappling skill or background? Because if not I'd say Canelo could probably whip his ass in the streets too, but he'd probably make a better go of it at least.

I get that it’s crap....but the poster for the fight would still say for the WBA Heavyweight title.

And that would definitely would be enough to generate as much interest in the general public as most of his other options.

Mostly I just agree with the second post that this is some creative out of the box thinking,

Perhaps you’re right, but during June 2019, people from this forum were saying Callum Smith was far too big and good for Canelo.

SEFER SEFERI after not facing a guy with a positive record for years knocks out hungarian fellow journeyman laszlo hubert (delve into his record for a laugh).

after this he gets a shot for the wba international crap strap against...

MANUEL CHARR who just got knocked out cold by breidis & then beat belarus andrey mazanik (👀record for :brick: ).

it follows....
CHARR vs. USTINOV for WBA WORLD SHITSHOW CHAMPION.

charr becomes first syrian hw-champ ever/first german since schmeling blablabla and doesn't do shit nor attempt to defend this historical lifetime achievement for nearly 4 years...

only in boxing.
