Boxing wishes for 2021?
Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
I want Josh Taylor to be involved in a mega-fight. Either Lopez moving up to face him, or Josh moving up to fight Crawford.
Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
I'd like to see one or more of the HW prospects emerge as a force. Some new blood in the top tier.
Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
Def Fury v Joshua and I wouldn't mind seeing Usyk v Joyce either.
Canelo v GGG and maybe Canelo up at cruiser as well as Bivol and Beterbiev
On a Brish note is like to see Eubank JR and Warrington in some big fights, Liam Williams too

Same as ever for me, what I think the weight divisions should be:-
Heavyweight: +95kg
Light-heavyweight: 95kg
Middleweight: 85kg
Welterweight: 75kg
Lightweight: 70kg
Featherweight: 65kg
Bantamweight: 60kg
Strawweight: 55kg
Will never happen.

All those Fury-Joshuas, Crawford-Spences, Beter-Bivols and etc being made.
Sanctioning bodies gets eliminated.
Canelo fights the likes of Saunders, Plant, Charlo or at least Golovkin.
Sulaiman dies.
Bellew too.

Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
Some tasty domestic showdowns - any permutation involving eubank, bjs, ryder and williams at MW ; josh Kelly v conor benn; frampton v conlan; any fights between yarde / buatsi/ johnson / arthur at LHW and of course the big one at HW
Definite retirements from Brook, Price and Selby- they’ve all had fine careers in varying degrees and it’d be a shame to see them taking unnecessary batterings.
And just to satisfy my schadenfreude - humiliating losses for Whyte, Anthony Fowler and any youtubers masquerading as boxers
Oh and less women’s boxing on big cards or at least less hysteria from sky pundits regarding the supposed quality of it.
All the best everyone

Less Women's boxing and/or women's to go 3 rounds - so hard to get stoppages in 2m.
Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
Big fights for James Tennyson and Lewis Crocker.

He’s dying to.... blame Eddie for not giving him the chance, but he’ll get the big fight soon and Galahad for fighting like that. He was atrocious. Just spoiled.Pugilist-specialist wrote: ↑28 Dec 2020, 04:39 Josh Warrington to come off twitter and actually defend his title.

Only one for me.
The big one. Everyone in the country wants it.

Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
Mine will not happen, but less TV companies involved...its costing a fortune. More international fights on sky, bt, or allegedly and no more alternative viewing
Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
The Death of the WBC, and Bridgerweight.
Nothing else matters. Boxing is on life support until this happens.

I don't give a f*ck what you call it. It's a disgrace and so is every fighter who would be willing to compete in it, and any Boxing pundit who would praise it or any network that would air it.
I hate everything about it. I hate Mauricio Sulaiman for creating it.

Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
BJS to lose a tune up fight
Women's boxing to go three rounds
Fury to KO Wilder
Luke Campbell to win a World title
Matchroom to start taking their youtube channel more even more seriously.

Blame Eddie? Why not blame Frank as well?mickey1975 wrote: ↑28 Dec 2020, 06:46He’s dying to.... blame Eddie for not giving him the chance, but he’ll get the big fight soon and Galahad for fighting like that. The stats show Galahad landed more jabs and more back hand power shots. If Warrington was confident of winning his mandatory would have happened by now.

Warrington doesn't want it. Since he boxed Barry he's fought the world no.204 and then been on twitter for 14 months.mickey1975 wrote: ↑28 Dec 2020, 14:48Why? Why would he? His fans want an exciting fight, I hardly think Sky would approve it and he’s got more than enough money to stay on Twitter as long as he wants.Pugilist-specialist wrote: ↑28 Dec 2020, 16:35Warrington doesn't want it. Ps he’s boxing in February.
Re: Boxing wishes for 2021?
Galahad stunk in his challenge to Warrington and lost fair & square.
Anyway, that's got nothing to to do with the must see 2021 fights. I only have three fights on the list :
Beterbiev v Alverez (at light heavy)
Spence v Crawford
Inoue v Gonzalez
