Adrien Broner: I'll Destroy 135 If I Return To Division; I Can Still Make The Weight
Re: Adrien Broner: I'll Destroy 135 If I Return To Division; I Can Still Make The Weight
An argument about Boxers running routines? How much time do you guys got?
Re: Adrien Broner: I'll Destroy 135 If I Return To Division; I Can Still Make The Weight
That you've made that comment based on that article demonstrates you are a fool.
Sometimes I run 10km in 60 minutes, sometimes I run it in under 35 minutes. Training should target our various energy systems and they each require different types and levels of stress.
That may have been Broner's best effort, it may not. You don't know so your comment is ignorant.

(I also find it hard to believe that anyone who can run 10k in 35 minutes would ever bother doing it in an hour).

Do find Broner funny and he was throwing out some crazy sh*t from his mouth on what he is gonna do next. Haven't heard anything new about him other then what is in this thread.
I do think he will get a good fight. He is still relevant somehow. Crazy bastard.

I run distances that I could do quicker all the time, just depends on how I’m feeling, sometimes I’m up for it and will bash it out quick, other times I could be a bit achey and feel more comfortable with a slower pace and sometimes it’s about clearing me head and getting a bit of thinking time in so will take it nice and steady.gb wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 12:23This is why I tend to stay off CS - keyboard warriors.Jimmy2020 wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 11:41That you've made that comment based on that article demonstrates you are a fool.

Me too, but not to the extent of taking almost double my PB like Jimmy2020 is claiming!littlepug wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 12:42I run distances that I could do quicker all the time, just depends on how I’m feeling, sometimes I’m up for it and will bash it out quick, other times I could be a bit achey and feel more comfortable with a slower pace and sometimes it’s about clearing me head and getting a bit of thinking time in so will take it nice and steady.gb wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 12:23This is why I tend to stay off CS - keyboard warriors.Jimmy2020 wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 11:41

We've got someone who can run a sub 35 minute 10k and a man who's stronger than Joshua commenting on this thread. Very impressive!Onetimeonly wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 12:55I'm surprised nobody is asking for proof he's stronger than Joshua.

You’re focussing on a specific time that it took Broner to run a certain distance. So you’re far too focussed on dissecting minutiae.gb wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 10:30But Broner clearly thinks this is quite good, otherwise why would he mention it? If he wasn't bothered about the time, why would he time it?Enlightened-One wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 10:23The videos I supplied were of boxers running during training camp.
We can look at their attire, their stride length, their faces and also their posture to determine perceived effort levels.
And it's very clear to me that in the videos I supplied, none of the fighters were giving their all... or even remotely close to it.
They were just going through the motions, part of their daily grind during training camp.
Why don’t you instead read the article in its entirety and comprehend the context for his words?
When you’ve done that, you’ll inevitably realise that the answer to your question is rather obvious... embarrassingly so!
I’ll even give you a hint, he used to be 57lbs overweight living a terrible lifestyle.

There’s a YouTube video of AJ doing three banded deadlifts using a hex trap bar.gb wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 12:58We've got someone who can run a sub 35 minute 10k and a man who's stronger than Joshua commenting on this thread. (Or maybe a pair of bullshitters).
The combined total weight of the bumper plates and the hex trap bar was 195KG, plus a ballpark estimate additional 10KG’s for the resistance bands.
The BBC also posted a video of Joshua’s weightlifting routine. They claimed he can squat 190KG and also successfully perform a barbell deadlift of 200KG.
Have you ever been to the gym before? And how do your totals in those compound movements compare to AJ’s?
Do you think the numbers he’s lifting are remarkable?
For the record, there’s also a video of Tyson Fury’s one-rep max barbell deadlift of 200KG.
He held the bar like a slippery eel and his legs were shaking, so he was definitely giving it his all.
Tyson is definitely much stronger than his physique implies.
The fighter that looked very weak to me. Almost lifting at novice level, is Deontay Wilder. He was only doing a couple of 70KG seated barbell squats, which for most gymgoers, would be considered a warm-up weight.

AJ's weight training is based on lighter weight and more reps. Stop yer yammering.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 13:47There’s a YouTube video of AJ doing three banded deadlifts using a hex trap bar.gb wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 12:58We've got someone who can run a sub 35 minute 10k and a man who's stronger than Joshua commenting on this thread. I will openly admit that I have as much (or indeed as little) idea about weight lifting as you do about running.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 13:47There’s a YouTube video of AJ doing three banded deadlifts using a hex trap bar.gb wrote: ↑29 Dec 2020, 12:58We've got someone who can run a sub 35 minute 10k and a man who's stronger than Joshua commenting on this thread.
