For some reason when I read this my mind started playing the clip from Kickboxer where JCVD chops down a tree by kicking it so hard that it breaks both the trunk of the tree and his leg.

Surely these guys don't actually train that way. How is breaking your leg strengthening you? Seems like it's just weakening you.

It’s an action movie where the bad guy wraps his hands in glass in the final fight.

Surely no they do not train that way.

But JCVD is awesome in it still recommend the movie 10/10.

Bloodsport's a terrible movie, but a lot of the fight scenes are guilty pleasures. And it includes some footage of Kowloon Walled City, a part of the world that has always fascinated me, and sadly is no more.
I don't understand people's fascination with non-boxers boxing against boxing stars.

If you're looking for dead serious Oscar worthy stuff. Yeah Bloodsport ain't it.

If you're looking for a meathead action movie. Bloodsport is a lot of fun.

My favorite Van Damme movie is probably Universal Soldier aside from all of his Martial Arts based movies.

He wrote that muay thai fighters would beat western boxers . I have to agree with him and with you guys. No chance for Floyd against this guy-unless it is under boxing rules.
I spent some time in Thailand and went to see a few Muay Thai events in Bangkok, and really wasn’t impressed by the quality tbh. Maybe I just got unlucky with the guys I saw tho.
it's like boxing, there is a wide range of quality, but the best guys are beasts and overall muay thai fighters have a lot more tools at their disposal than boxers and for the most part would kick/elbow/knee them silly
Back in the day I remember a Muay-Thai fighter name of Chaengsak Muangsurin (impressed me so much I still remember how to spell his name some forty years later) who switched to boxing, beating then (WBC?) Light-welterweight champion Perico Fernandez in only his third fight under international rules.

He was some fighter whatever the code and he gave me an enduring respect for Muay-Thai.

I don't know who that guy is, but in a kickboxing match, Mayweather doesn't beat any good kickboxer who weighs above 112 pounds. He also doesn't beat a good basketball player in a 1-on-1 basketball game. He doesn't beat any decent chess player in a chess match. I mean, I could do this all day.

I hope you mean at Boxing.

If you mean at Kickboxing. That's just kooky talk.

There have been Boxers that have found success crossing over into Kickboxing, and there have been Kickboxers who found success crossing over into Boxing, but usually their success in the sport that's not their best isn't nearly the same. In fact always.

Indeed. Even his Exhibition bout with Tenshin if it had been under Kickboxing rules. He'd have had his hands plenty full.
