Did anyone else see a Garcia right hand feint in setting up that body shot? Campbell threw the guard up as the left hand moved but watching it several times it looked like Garcia just barely extended that right and that’s what prompted the guard to rise. He was also dipping forward a bit and had the left hand up as if ear-muffing the right hand and left hook.
It’s tough to tell with Garcia’s hand speed even in slow mo. Just wondering if anyone else saw that or maybe I’m seeing something that’s not there. I just don’t feel like I saw Garcia leading with the left hook much during that fight but he did lead with the right a lot.
Still a beautiful KO regardless. The left hook looked like it was going up top and then slammed the body flush.

No I didn't see that tbh, he leaps in and Campbell raises his hands but didn't see any sort of crafty/subtle feint to set it up

Just more of a very uncharacteristic error by Campbell then. Thank you.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑02 Jan 2021, 20:57 No I didn't see that tbh, he leaps in and Campbell raises his hands but didn't see any sort of crafty/subtle feint to set it up

It looked like he was going to throw another hook to the head, but went low to the body. He set him upbobcatbox wrote: ↑02 Jan 2021, 20:55 Did anyone else see a Garcia right hand feint in setting up that body shot? Re: Ryan Garcia’s Knockout
I was impressed by Garcia, I see that he’s improved. He’s young so more improvements can be made. Of course, no way do I think he’s a great fighter (yet) and has an air of vulnerability (big time). He met the challenge. I felt he was being outboxed but he overcame that.
In terms of Campbell, I can’t help but have mixed feelings. He seemed to be outboxing Garcia but was completely lacking in aggression and so predictable/one dimensional.

Re: Ryan Garcia’s Knockout
Garcia still needs to learn. Where was his head and feet movement? He fought against a smaller guy, who was predisposed to taking shots and looking for counters. Of course, Garcia's size, speed and power worked. But not without being decked. Garcia is good, but still has a lot of work to do.

Re: Ryan Garcia’s Knockout
Garcia could be a ko waiting to happen if he's gonna fight next Lopez ,Gervonta, Haney or Loma. He's sloppy and his defence is poor. Luke caught him pretty well. But he's young enough and his trainer will try to fix that major problem. But I must say that Garcia's left hook was spot on. Very hard body punch.
Re: Ryan Garcia’s Knockout
Don’t think Haney can knock him out, but I would tend to agree on the others. In a way his vulnerability makes him that much more interesting to watch. He could have spent all of 2021 knocking out Fonsecas but instead he’s taking on top 10 opponents. Love it.apollo creed wrote: ↑03 Jan 2021, 09:33 Garcia could be a ko waiting to happen if he's gonna fight next Lopez ,Gervonta, Haney or Loma. He's sloppy and his defence is poor. Re: Ryan Garcia’s Knockout
I have noticed that since 3rd round Garcia was looking for a liver shot KO, I guess that Reynoso told him to do so.
