Spinks would probably have some trouble with the brute force and extra size and power of Peter at times, but I think he'd outbox him to a Unanimous Decision win.

spinks seems a bit underrated as a hw to me, like ppl dont take him all that seriously across generations, even though he beat holmes twice and holmes though not his best was still pretty dang good. i guess its the nature of the tyson loss.

like, it was said before on here that him vs wilder was a laghable silly matchup, because it would be so one-sided in wilder's favor,, etc

spinks would be comfortably outpointing peter and possibly stop him late depending on how much he wanted to go for it

Peter was pretty tough, and it usually took quite a pounding to stop him. I'd lean toward a UD for Spinks with a lot of confidence.

His chin was generally sturdy, mccline kds aside, but he could be pounded into a cumulative stoppage like when he retired vs vit

Spinx would definitely outbox Peter. He was too slick, fast and technical for Peter. And he carried power, so he could hurt Peter. The stoppage would also be quite possible.

I'd pick Spinx by (T)KO in 10 or so.

It's Michael not Micheal as you mispell his first name. Anyways, Spinks would out-box Peter behind his jabs, right hands and combinations from long range to either stop him in the later rounds or decision him.

People picking Spinks by TKO doesn't make much sense. I could see Peter winning by KO before Spinks would, and I think Spinks wins this fight 9 times out of 10.

Just by decision.

Toney shook rahman, holyfield, and ruiz at HW but never peter - and he drilled peter with rights in that first fight. Mccline and wlad hurt him but they were bigger than peter

Peter had a solid chin. I figure if eddie chambers can outslick Sam, Mike spinks sure as hell can.

Spinks 12 to 0

it's not about chin, it's about hitting a guy a bunch. vitali never really hurt peter with any particular shot but he hit him so much the dude retired. i dont really see why a late spinks stoppage is farfetched.

:TU:

I'd lean Dec, but spinks landed something like 80 out of 90 punches the Rd he stopped cooney.

Either Spinks by UD with some scary moments, or else he get's careless and Peter KO's him inside of 6. No way Spinks stops Peter pre-Vitali.
