This is absolutely ridiculous, if Williams is really that heavy then that's sodding disgraceful, what a whale! Lovely guy is Danny, but christ almighty.
Unless he had a frigging dumbell stuffed down his trousers, I fail to see how weights could have done it, thats about 15 lbs heavier than his last fight!

That is an appauling weight for an athlete of, what 6"1?! (I dont care how broad he is...)
I expect Skelton to maul him on the way to a points win. No way will Danny be able to fight more then 30 secs a round.
This refelcts badly on Jimmy Mac in my eyes - Jimmy is supposed to be a tremendous conditioner but how can he justify Williams weighing this much? (of course if Williams starches Skelton, then he will come up smelling of roses.)

fornicating rediculous, that's not an athlete. Hope Skelton wins, Danny doesn't have any self respect to be coming in that heavy. Warren still talking bollox "The winner is close to a title shot" yeh my arse, said that last year mate. Whoever wins will get beatup anyway when/if they step in with a top HW

Must take us for fools."I really am feeling better than ever"

Williams' previous record weight was the 19st 4lbs he recorded prior to last year's win over Audley Harrison, but he insisted extra power was the key factor.
He said: "I've been training really hard and taking supplements which have enabled me to add more than an inch to my biceps alone.
"I am ready for anything and will have much more power to push Skelton back but it hasn't affected my speed at all. I feel absolutely tremendous."
Bigger biceps won't help him to punch harder. Triceps & shoulders sure but not biceps. Maybe he thinks it's a body building contest he's going to.

Exactly. You'd think, when he came in at late notice in ireland weighing 4lb less than he did than Skelton I, then that's good news. Putting on 25lb since then - 6 weeks - is an absolute joke.Rocky Balboa wrote:Williams was 18st 11lbs for his last fight.
Now he weighs 20st 8lbs. That's an increase of 25lbs lol!![]()
IMO, he's way too heavy. Skelton is worth a flutter. I bet Williams has the biggest shorts ever seen in a boxing match. I'd like to see some photos?

Either Williams is playing some absurd mind games or else something has gone terribly wrong in his training, no way should he be over 19 stone... let alone 20 stone!. You only need to see some of Dannys earlier fights when he was around 240- 250 to see the loss of speed and workrate since he's got so heavy. How can Jimmy Mac justify this?.... he's losing his own credibility as a trainer. The question I have now is not so much who will win but whether Danny should even be allowed to fight.... get ready for a big flop on Saturday night!... I hope they've reinforced the ring!. Perhaps Danny will enter the ring Naz style via a crane... the ring steps may not take his weight!!!....
If Williams is wearing weights too it is also a worry, aside from it being rather unsporting, you have to question the motivation behind him wanting be appear so big... obviously a lack of confidence. In the run up to just about his last 6 fights or so Williams has boasted about his conditioning and how he is going to be in great shape this time yet the opposite seems to be happening... certainly if he's over 20 stone Danny is hardly going to be able to move in there and I can see him taking a pounding from Skelton I'm afraid...
