“I’m supremely confident of knocking him out cold, very confident,” said Saunders to IFL TV about his belief he can knockout Andrade. “I love boxing southpaws, I love fighting someone with his style.
“I’ve got a very good track record against southpaws. I would love to give him a hiding. Eddie Hearn, let’s make the fight. Let’s get it on, rock and roll. Vacate the WBO 160 title, move up, tell the WBO you’re moving up, and we can get it on.
“If you’re worried about it, vacate, move up and you’re the mandatory. Move up and do it. I can make 160, but why would I want to go back down to 160 when all the big money fights are at 168, and all the big talents have come up to 168.
“Move up, come up to 168. Me and him have swapped messages on social media,” said Billy Joe.
“I don’t want to be sitting around.,” said a frustrated Billy Joe. “Let Canelo do his thing.
“If he’s fighting in February, I would love to fight him in May, but if he thinks I’m going to be sitting around until May twiddling my thumbs, he’s got another thing coming.
“I’m not going to be doing that. I’m back in the gym, I’m in shape, let’s get it on. Let’s stop beating around the bush and waiting around.
“I’m going to get sick and tired of waiting around for one of these big fights. I’m getting to the stage that if a big fight doesn’t get made, ‘Thank you very much, see you later.’
“I’m in it for the big fights to see how good I am. Zach Parker, he’s my mandatory but that’s not the big fight that I want.
“Andrade, if he moves up to 168, he jumps in front of everyone. The winner of us gets Canelo. It’s a brilliant plan, isn’t it? It works for DAZN. The winner of us fights Canelo.” said Saunders. from BN24 site.
Well, I'd like to see this fight getting made but tbh Andrade would have some major disadvantages. Like 1 year of lay-off, too short period of preparation until Feb. and the issue with the smw weight acclimation. Also it would be a dumb move for Andrade to vacate his mw wbo belt.
BJS is cunning. He's bluffing. If the fight happens , he has all the advantages, if not, then he'd say he wanted to fight Andrade. It's a win-win situation for BJS.
Andrade could fight BJS at 164 lbs c/w and without vacating his mw title. It has to be a fair way for both.
BJS:"Eddie Hearn, let’s make the fight [BJS v Andrade]. Let’s get it on, rock and roll.”

BJS is cunning no doubt! Every interview reveals that. Shrewd cookie.
He's also learning to pocket as many prefight advantages as he can get away with from the likes of the careful cherry-picking of Canelo, Crawford and his big buddy Tyson Fury.
Nevertheless, it would still be a tough match up and it's no cert that he would win. Andrade could meet him at 164/68 and still keep his MW belt whatever the result.
Two long time unbeaten fighters? What's not to like? Bring it on.
I really hope Andrade calls his bluff, if for no other reason than to hear Saunder's excuse. This is a fight Andrade could win.
Step up BJS. You too DA.
If not, then at the very least Saunders could fight Eubank again. You can be sure that Chris Jr will be more than ready.
To be honest, if BJS fights anyone of any significance before May it will be a welcome surprise, but let's not hold our breaths.

He's a sneaky mofo. I want to see this fight so badly but I want it to be fair for both fighters. Andrade has no advantage on his side if he jumps straight up to 168 lbs with no acclimation fights at smw. Also if this fight would happen in UK then Andrade would really need a T/KO win. 164 lbs c/w and Andrade should keep his mw title.Thomastearns wrote: ↑07 Jan 2021, 15:27 BJS is cunning no doubt! I still think it's just talk and bluffing. BJS knows very well that his wbo strap is the only bargain chip to get a big fight with Canelo. BJS's track record tells us all we need to know about his tactics. But if the fight surprisingly happens at 168 lbs then big props to Andrade for risking so much.

I'm curious to see if they agree to fight and on what terms ? I wonder if Andrade doesn't vacate his mw wbo title can't be in position to fight BJS? It's a must? I think it's just a ploy tactic from cunning BJS to discourage Andrade to not fight him.

andrade doesn't need a inbetween fight to adjust to 168.
he's too shreddin' weight like crazy for his weigh ins to make 60. he is a big dude? 6'1''. no difference AT ALL for him.
only thing is he wouldn't have to half kill himself to make weight & rehydrate.
he's fighting at least at 180.
he would be the same weight in ring & one wouldn't see a difference, just feel better because he doesn't have to make 60 & fill up afterwards.

No doubt that Andrade is a big mw but BJS had some fights at 168 lbs, so he's more comfortable at this weight class than Andrade. It's a good advantage for BJS.adislav123 wrote: ↑08 Jan 2021, 08:50 andrade doesn't need a inbetween fight to adjust to 168.
