No reason to ever give Ayala credit in a fantasy fight. He's a failure in life, and must be considered a failure in all fantasy fight scenarios.

You could see Ayala having success, maybe even scoring a KD, but De La Hoya would eventually batter him to a TKO

Not necessarily....imagine it was Tony Ayala Jr. versus Hugo Obregon for example..lol...

But seriously through, Carlos Monzon, Edwin Valero, Kid Gavilan, La Motta, Sugar Ray Robinson, Carlos Baldomir, Wilfredo Gomez, Chapo Rosario, Esteban De Jesus, they all failed in life at least once, some commited worse offenses than the others but that has nothing to do with their ring abilities....

Ayala never accomplished anything of note to judge his ring abilities on.

Yeah but you have to remember that is mostly because he raped a woman. Had he not raped that poor woman, Im sure he would have at least been a champion. His is a tough case to compare I guess, but he did have that raw power at least.

But he did rape that woman, and he wasn't a Champion. That's all I ever need to know about Tony Ayala Jr.

It's always tempting to wonder "what if" for those who suffered from Pugilstia Interuptus. Such as Ayala and "He who's name must never be mentioned"....(You know that one who shared a name with that republican president from the fifties) But....neither were headed to the very top. Not specifically for any lack of talent, but for lack of self discipline.

Took me a second to know what you were referencing there.
