Crawford is a great champion, among the top 10 p4p five or six years, the best LWW in the last decade, surely. I hope he will face Spence (or Pacquiao, at least) this year, so we will know if he is the best WW.

But, there is a reason the weight divisions exist in the boxing. GGG with his power would be too much for him, Let me remind you of Kell Brook and his fight against Golovkin. BTW, I don't want to compare Brook and Crawford.

So, I want to see Crawford against Spence (or Pac, or Taylor/Ramirez winner), and Golovkin should retire soon (no more than 2 fights against the natural MWs).

Is Crawford a small welterweight? might be an inch shorter than average, but with a few inches more reach than average. and i dont think he is lighter than most welters. He was an absolute giant at 135, big at 140, i dont think he is small at 147.

He was 152lb in ring vs gamboa 6 years and 2 weight classes ago.. Hasnt got massively bigger since, but im guessing he has put on some weight.

I remember Crawford rehydrating to 159 for a Jr. welter title bout.

Even this version of G3 stops him.

This doesn't seem to be a good move for Crawford. He should be looking to fight Spence, Pacquiao, and maybe Jermell and Hurd. Fighting a puncher two divisions bigger makes no sense (even though Alvarez did it).

Cray talk, Crawford marks up easily, and could not take GGG's power, not even at age 39.
