Lopez should call the shots at 135 lbs like Canelo does at 168 lbs! It's crazy that such a talented and good fighter that beat p4p Lomachenko get's no hype and attention! Atm Loma would beat Tank, Garcia and Haney.

I'm a supporter of Lopez. He deserves to call the shots. But he's a very dangerous and young fighter, that's why he is avoided so badly.

All roads to Lightweight supremecy goes through Lopez at this point. Although that could change based on who the top players at 135 fight. For instance if Lopez was to fight two weak mandatories in 2021, while say tank beats Garcia and Haney it would be hard to rank Lopez over Tank.

I also agree Lopez should be the "A" side based on beating the man of the division, but that's not really how the business of boxing works unfortunately.

Probably Lopez would have received more attention, if he handled Loma in a more spectacular bout or at least not in that close fashion.

Can we stop saying "Matrix Boxer" it just sounds f*cking stupid.

These guys ain't superhuman.

I don't really know how much more credit you think Lopez deserves. He gets plenty of it right now as it is. The fight was just 3 months ago.

I think he has rightfully garnered a lot of respect for his win over Lomachenko. He (TL) is regarded as the best fighter in a division which is considered by many to be the strongest of them all, and which boasts fighters of the quality of Haney and Garcia. Just watch how his rep improves whan he adds one of their names or that of G. Davis to his win column.

Loma was a mighty impressive win but I fancy that is really just the start. The kid has all the right tools. :box:

"Teofimo Lopez deserves more credit and attention"

Ok I'll go ahead and buy a Teo poster to put above my bed?

Boxing in general doesnt get alot of attention these days Teo Vs Loma was a commercial failure really. 10 million this 10 million that, dude aint worth that much. Fighting and defeating Kambosos in aussieland is a step in the right direction for the fellow but its gonna be an uphill struggle for the guy to establish himself.

Tbh I just don't get it why the most proven top dog in a division is not in position to call the shots? Guys like Tank, Garcia and Haney should demand a fight with Lopez and call him out and not vice versa. At the end of the day Lopez beat the arguably best p4p fighter in Lomachenko. The very good thing about Lopez is that he is a young fighter. :TU:

Considering his wins over Lomachenko, Commey, and Magdaleno; it's possible that he's already justified a top 5 p4p ranking or close to it. He's already got the quality, he's only missing the quantity. Which means he's pretty much got it if he makes a handful of easy title defenses.

I don't pay as close of attention to boxing these days, so I have no idea what the average opinion of Lopez is. If he's not considered at least like top 7 p4p, then he's being sold short.
