There was plenty of action in Foreman vs Morrison.detamour wrote: ↑09 Dec 2020, 08:33George, accused him of running..DrDuke wrote: ↑08 Dec 2020, 10:16Well, he won Foreman without much problems. However, Foreman wasn't an A-tier of the 90s. There were those four.pound per pound wrote: ↑08 Dec 2020, 09:16 A flawed man and boxer, he had some world class abilities and was in many good fights. His other problem was his birthday. He fought in a time when Bowe, Tyson, Holyfield, Foreman, and Lewis were at the top.

No one has mentioned about Morrison's Trainers. He had Crude Minded Trainers. Imagine if he had a Good,or Great Trainer. Teddy Atlas,Freddie Roach,Eddie Futch,Angelo Dundee, Emmanuel Steward. Heck, even Rock Newmann would've been Much Better than what Morrison had available in his training camp.

Yes,his trainers were obviously Bad !
His approach, techniques, and style was all wrong in most of his bigger bouts.
He fought Mercer and Bentt like they were showcase Low Resilience KO-victim opponents.

The majority of Morrison's troubles came from stamina, chin and lack of dedication.
In the Mercer bout he was too fast, considering how durable Mercer was, but the overall strategy was OK and worked, he just needed another pace.
And how you can blame his trainers for the Bentt loss? As if they told him to jump on Bentt opened wide after he would get hurt.

Hilton had better punch Resilience, in the Lb for Lb sense, so that style worked better for him.
Morrison Really went balls to the walls going for broke style with Bentt. It's as if he was trying to meet ends on a very high bet of scoring a first round ko.

Morrison went though women like a gum chewer finishes off a pack of gum. My guess is he picks it up on one of them,
Rocky 5 made him famous but did not help him as Morrison was too much party guy, He would have been better off in a gym far away from " the action "
I agree he looked goof vs Mercer for 3 rounds, gassed in round 4 ( because he didn't do road work ) and was taken out in style by round 5. Had his management moved him a bit better, it's very plausible he would have taken a decision.
Mercer toughness and durability as it tuns out was underrated. Most other opponents, very good onse and other champions woud have probably been taken out taking what Mercer took.

Mercer had a great chin. Is it true that Morrison did no roadwork for the Mercer fight? Wow, that was stupid.pound per pound wrote: ↑28 Jan 2021, 21:02Morrison went though women like a gum chewer finishes off a pack of gum. My guess is he picks it up on one of them,

Morrison's manager Bill Clayton ( Excellent manger ) wanted Morrison to do road work and train away from Kansas City bars and night life. Morrison did not listen and stayed in Kansas City .
