At 154 McCallum would stop Benitez in 13

The Body Snatcher would out-counter Benitez and blasted him on the body route to TKO him in 14 rounds.

Re: Wilfred Benitez versus Mike McCallum
There's ONLY two men at 154lbs that would beat The Body Snatcher, and the great Wilfred Benitez is not one of them: Sugar Ray Robinson and maybe, maybe Thomas Hearns. I don't see nobody else.

Benitez, UD close
Re: Wilfred Benitez versus Mike McCallum
At this point in time, I think Wilfred was a little more fluid than Mike. He would win a close Unanimous decision.

Re: Wilfred Benitez versus Mike McCallum
Benitez' elusiveness would be a key to the victory.

Crazy love, one of those athletes so many people call underrated that they become overrated. Very good fighter, but he wasn't ducked or any of that nonsense.

Re: Wilfred Benitez versus Mike McCallum
People seem eager to write McCallum off based on the Kalambay loss which he avenged.
As far as being avoided, he may not have been the biggest payday but from a competitive standpoint it seems he should have gotten more big fights. Why wasn't a fight with Michael Nunn made?
