Do you think Williams had weights on?
Skelton shouldn't be let off the hook here either with the fornicating nick of his belly! These two fat fornicate wits neatly encapsulate everything wrong with this stinking division. If I had my way no fighter with body fat of over 10% would be alowed into a boxing ring, its an insult to the paying public and the sport itself.
For a man of his age and size I think Skelton looks in good shape and in the past he has always kept up a good workrate throughout most his fight, so his stamina look good.Hut*Hut wrote:Skelton shouldn't be let off the hook here either with the smeg nick of his belly!.
Frank Bruno always looked in awsome shape and I would guess had a very low body fat content but lacked stamina.
These are heavyweights after all, they don't have to have washboard stomaches... I actually though that Skelton looked a bit fleshy in the first fight but seems more solid this time round from the pics I've seen. Skelton should really get some credit for doing what he's doing at his age as time goes on his age may catch up with him especially the way he fights, we're not talking about a 23 yearold here...

263 is still WAY too much weight. It might be good enough to scrape past a 40 year old kickboxer, but to the potential his talent has.... no he needs at least another 28 lbs off that (and he'd still be on the large side IMO).Max Molyneux wrote:If Danny's done this trick before then howcome some are falling for it? He was 263lbs for Serin.
Danny probably has got weights on... but not 25lbs worth or weight, thats nearly two stone.
Danny has said the same old B/S about him retaining his speed at the weight. I urge him to watch footage of him vs Skelton 1 and vs Harrison and compare it with him in the Francis rematch or vs Keith Long (pictures of which are on Danny's website).
No Danny, you don't retain your speed - its not scientifically possible and it just aint true.
He might still win tonight, but no chance he is looking good.

Don't see how anyone could have this fight close, Danny did next to nothing and looked like he could barely walk let alone fight. Respect to Skelton who improved and wanted it more, but I worry for Danny, he's going to end up on one of these channel 5 programes in a few years talking about how he ended up weighing 50 stone... I really think the guy needs help and should forget all about boxing before he gets hurt...
Sound comment.silkov wrote:Don't see how anyone could have this fight close, Danny did next to nothing and looked like he could barely walk let alone fight. Although Skelton lacks technique (tho showed glimpses tonight) he certainly makes up for it with heart. Now all is left is for him to fight a world champion, no doubt he will get beat. Prefer to see him in with Gammer.

Well they were landing in Williams face... how much cleaner do you want?. Williams hardly threw a punch in the first 6 rounds and many of the punches he did finally throw were either blocked or missed.Max Molyneux wrote:Skelton's pitter patter punches wern't landing as clean as it looked hence why it was close.
Don't be fooled by Rawlings theory that this was a close fight... they guy hasnt a clue to be blunt...

Don't be assuming I listen to commentry then.
117 - 112 was too wide. Danny was still winning round when trading.

Why bother asking that when I didn't say I had a better view? I said it looked like they were being caught by Williams arms. You had a better view than us huh? I know a few of his were missing, mostly the jab, range finder, but still. What exactly did Danny do to win the fight?

Skelton didn't land many clean shots, but Danny did absolutely fornicate all, when he did throw shots he didn't land cleanly, and although most of Skelton's blows were shoeshiner jobs, he threw and landed enough shots to take the majority of rounds.
A mobile Williams would have won that fight handily, but yet again Danny turned up in ridiculous condition for a big fight.

I'm still so confused why DW would turn up for a fight where he needs to be in tip-top shape, and weigh a whopping 20 STONE!!!
I'm not sure DW really wants to do it anymore. But as another thread states, it's quite annoying that Jim McDonnell & DW harp on about oxygen tents, being in the best shape ever etc, and he appears looking like that.
