Boxing is all about timing. He got good wins over weight-drained Selby and Frampton in 2018 and gave all the talk of big fights in Vegas. He was forced to box Barry and since then he's seemed reluctant to leave his own house.

I haven't made him out to be a monster. He might be one in the mind of the "Leeds Worrier". Something made him perform one of the biggest ducks in boxing history.

Warrington has been there, done that and wants to challenge himself with world class boxers, not domestic level opponents. Move on with his career whilst he's still in his prime. Boxers are bigger than belts anway. As one of our posters always reminds us, boxers are PRIZE fighters and NOT PRIDE fighters.

I'm not even Warrington's biggest fan, so i'm very mutual here.

Kid's got his title shot now, he shudl focosu on that or he'll lose that fight too.

Ultimately for me one has to respect Warrington and his team for the career choice they have made ( they’ve made good choices before ) .
IMO He’s earns that respect by beating the champion Selby and winning a difficult defence against Frampton - both in sensational style. In addition He has also beat his mandatory in Galahad, admittedly in a stinker.
He’s now clearly put faith in Hearn delivering a big fight next - with or without fans though that will be made much more difficult without the belt and during the pandemic.

Galahad too has made similar choices throughout his career .
He won vacant titles at British, Commonwealth and European level . Not once did he defend those titles never mind face a mandatory! ( Gavin McDonnell picked up and defended two of those ) .

He chose a different career path and dropped titles , picking opponents that eventually led him to a magnificent opportunity against Warrington. He failed miserably on the night with spoiling and negative tactics that gave the impression he was there only to survive and collect a pay day !
If only he’d have employed a more positive, aggressive and entertaining style then fans would have been screaming out for a rematch win or lose.
