I think the only one at risk of being frozen out is Warrington. He’s given up his world title to fight the 25th rated featherweight in the world with the half-promise of a fight against WBA regular champion Can Xu after, who apparently doesn’t want it right now.

So what if Dickens plumps for the WBO title it’s no skin off Galahad’s nose. Realistically, Dickens is unlikely to win the WBO, though I personally hope he does. And even if he does win it and fights Warrington, Galahad stills fights for the vacant IBF title and has greater leverage or standing to hound either of them for a unification fight.

I don’t see how Bazza loses out from Warrington vacating. I think Warrington is potentially the big loser.

Yes, undefeated ticket seller, former world champion, which he never lost in the ring, is more likely to suffer than Bazza and Jazza.

Yeah sound mate, no dramas. I just don’t think this is a necessary move from Warrington. But what do I know, I’m not privy to Eddie’s discussions with Josh and their future plans. I’m a big Warrington fan.

Yeah, probably not. I just hope Eddie gives Warrington enough attention so that this move doesn’t see him lose out and put on the shelf. Let’s not forget that Warrington hasn’t fought since October 2019 and is now without a world title. Maybe it won’t be a problem and will work out well for Warrington.

It’s all well being a ticket seller but it’s means jack-sh1t in this current climate especially with no guarantee when live events with limited capacity, let alone full capacity, will return. And if Barry ends up with the IBF title and Jazza with the WBO then Josh will need to be fightIng Gary Russell Junior or Leo Santa Cruz to maintain his status.

I think Warrington dropping the belt is more to do with Eddie having enough of the sanctioning bodies affecting his plans with mandatories that he doesn’t want to stage.

It's more to do with Warrington refusing to fight his mandatory.

I'd be surprised by that. Ive seen enough Eddie interviews to clearly show that having signed Warrington, he didnt fancy matching them both.

All Eddie's talk was about unifications. Warrington quitting his belt has finished that.

Didn’t Naz’s crew claim Vazquez as an unofficial unified bout as he’d never lost it in the ring? Josh will get the same credit.

Vazquez was a three weight world champion and had just successfully defended his world title 4 times. Xu Can isn't the champion, Santa Cruz is. According to FW, Warrington turned down the Santa Cruz and Russell jnr fights.

I wonder if Eddie doesn’t see the point in Sheffield at the moment? The ticket sales were horrendous last few times, Williams and Hutchinson are with Frank. Kell done, Barry hard work to watch. Too much bother.

IFL did an interview with Eddie yesterday. I got the impression he may not even bid on the Dickens/Kid fight - may be playing it down though.

galahads biggest fan coveniently never mentioned (whilst claiming warrington was ducking) that Galawad was very happy to take step aside money for Warrington to take the Xu fight haha.

I believe Galawad didn't really want the Warrington fight. The vacant title fight against a lesser opponent is what he wanted. Because Warrington was hurting him in that first fight. With a proper ref who didn't allow holding I feel Warrington would stop him.
