Saw a comment from Hearn online today who tries to argue that Joshua's record is miles better, and quotes Whyte, Breazeale, Klitschko, Parker, Povetkin and Takam as proof of this.

Is he right?

For me, AJ has a deeper record if you were scoring each opponent out of ten, however in my opinion Anthony Joshua does not have one elite win on his record, given that his best win is against the man that Fury himself dethroned nearly 3yrs prior.

Whyte, Breazeale, Parker, Povetkin and Takam are all a level at least below AJ and Fury for me.

Fury's most recent win, demolishing the hardest hitter of recent times who Joshua didn't fight pisses all over Joshua's record IMO. Add in the fact he was arguably robbed of a win the first time AND beat the 10yr reigning champ in his own back yard and its not even close.

Am I letting my dislike for Joshua cloud this or is Hearn, as usual, talking bollocks?

It was less than 2 years.

Not sure I buy into this idea that the Klitschko Fury fought was so much better than the one Joshua fought.

However, Fury got the win on the cards without taking any punishment and went on to shock everyone with the way he went about the Wilder rematch.

But Fury has fought a lot of guff, even once he reached the top.

Joshua's loss to Ruiz diminishes his record greatly and he may never really shake off that shadow.

The biggest name on either man's record will soon be each other, so soon enough this arguement will solve itself.

Yeah it matters but kind of doesn't in a way. Obviously a man who's fought better men is likely to beat a man who's fought lesser men, but anything can happen in a fight, and one man might win one day and the other man might win another, all sorts of factors can come into play with winning and losing fights

Having said that,I've bin in Tysons corner from day1 and he would beat Joshua anytime they clashed in my opinion too good, Joshua hasn't got enough about him to beat Tyson

As Clifton Mitchell said the other day, he has some weird aura about him, even Del didn’t get cheeky. Cunningham did, but Fury didn’t even understand what he was on about...,

I disagree. Don’t see how you can compare Parker, Pov, etc to those two wins, abroad.

I dunno when the last “Who Wins?’ poll took place on here between Joshua and Fury (we’ve had so many...) but I’d be amazed if Fury wasn’t ahead by about 75% if we did another one today. That Ruiz loss really took the aura away from Joshua, imo.

I think the fact he avenged that defeat by using tactics almost impossible to beat Fury with strengthen the case.
