headgear for back of head
saw someone mention this , commenting on a ko where the guy smashed the back of his head on the canvas, that's often/usually how the guys die on the steets too
and shots to the back of the head are illegal too
could there be a way for boxers to wear a protector or headgear that only protects the back of the head

Re: headgear for back of head
I wouldn't think so. It'd probably have to wrap around the front of your head somehow, and that would be too much of a hinderance.
I personally didn't even enjoy Amateur Boxing at all because I hate wearing headgear. I would only want to fight without it.

how do the jewish hats stay on i wonder
Re: headgear for back of head
They're on the top of the head, and I would assume they're a tight fit.

what about something like this

Re: headgear for back of head
I think the top of the head is legal actually. I've seen quite a few guys knocked down as a result of a shot to the top of the head.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑02 Feb 2021, 18:49 is the top of the head a legal area?

It's a very interesting idea, in my opinion. However, I can't see it happening except as an experiment, maybe.

Re: headgear for back of head
oh, of course it wont happen, cuz it would look goofy and we cant have that, boxers have to look like tattoo covered bad asses who walk heavy instead of looking like fannies, but could it be beneficial for the head?
i mean these dudes wear protection on their hands, on their balls/cock/lower stomach, they use mouthguards, etc.. so theyre all for protection (as long as it's covered up). the back of the head just as important though
my gawd some of these guys smashing the back of their heads is brutal

Not everyone gets Ko'd and hit the back of the head off the canvas, im sure it would be the front of the head that would need it, including the face and Ribs. Maybe it would be easier to make Boxing a Non-Contact Sport

Those hats look very similar to the type that some Muslims wear.
