Froch on Fighting - George Groves

Post by MarkMcBurney »

Not sure if anyone else has heard it but on Carl Froch's boxing podcast with Darren Fletcher they had George Groves on this week to discuss their history and its a fascinating listen.

Really interesting to hear George talk about how he got under Carl's skin, and hear Carl discuss how it worked and what he did differently the second time round.

Good listen, both guys have moved on since 2014, Groves particularly seems like a completely different person now.

Yeah, I posted it in a different thread. I think Groves has always been that guy, but, as he said, wasn’t going to kiss Carl’s arse when he was fighting him. Tiny niggle with the show.... they both kept talking over each other!

I thought Froch had changed more than Groves. I preferred it when they were fighters. They’re more like regular blokes now.

i like froch i would say he is nearly my all time favourite fighter him steve collins , i like his attitude he is a tough man a real man from the street in which i mean working class man ,very much like groves but what makes them differnt is carl had brothers he could trust and back him up were groves was a lone wolf chip on his shoulder , i dont think they have changed at all i think they were being respectful to each other as they know it could go of between them ,i thought carl was good he let george speak and didnt turn his answers around, just said what he thought at the time and what groves thought , very honest carl , you can tell he is a real man nothing to hide froch really worth a listen ,
