Benavidez to Charlo: "We can make it happen in September if you’re really about it"

Post by apollo creed »

“Jermall Charlo, if you’re watching this. I know you did an interview where you said you would knock David out,” said Benavidez’s father/coach Jose Benavidez.

“I think that would be an easy fight to make. You want a fight; we want a fight. F*** Caleb Plant. f*** Canelo. We can make the fight happen,” said Benavidez. from BN24

I'd love to see this fight! It would be easy to make but I think Charlo would have to take a few easy fights @168lbs to get acclimatized. :box:

David Benavidez has now taken over from Gennady Golovkin as the most avoided man in boxing.

It is not difficult to see why.

It's not just Charlo that won't be in any hurry to face him, I can't see any of these others being in any hurry either.

Canelo Alvarez
Billy Joe Saunders
Daniel Jacobs
Caleb Plant
David Lemieux

He obviously wants to stay at 168lb but no big name SMW wants to fight him.

Therefore we can conclude that Benavidez is the man at Super Middleweight.

Forget what Ring or any of the other sycophantic sanctioning money sucking simpletons might have to say about it.

True.

But Benavidez made a very big mistake with not taking very serious and be very disciplined in this sport. He cost him that wbc champion title. Now he's just a risky fighter with no belt but he's young enough to get back on track. He just needs to stay active and disciplined.
