Josh likes going the distance. He’ll do the same here maybe.

Lara limited technically, but completely happy to throw with Warrington.

Shite judging can happen anywhere agreed but I find it hard to believe that time and time again 3 experienced judges see a fight totally different to how stalwart boxing fans see it and tonight was no different.maverick23 wrote: ↑13 Feb 2021, 18:42How’s Eddie greedy and corrupt?CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑13 Feb 2021, 18:39 Oh man that is shocking.
Eddie having the brass neck to condemn the scorecards is unbelievable, he’s the greedy corrupt fornicator influencing the judges
Shite judging happens on U.K. shows regardless of the promoter - the standard of judging in this country is just really poor.
Clearly Ed has the most to gain from the home fighter winning so it’s not that much of a leap of faith to assume that he’s behind the awful decision. He may be no more greedy and corrupt than any other leading promoter but it takes a special kind of pudendum to feign outrage on live tv at a terrible decision that he was instrumental in bringing about.

Re: Round-by-Round: Josh Warrington vs. Mauricio Lara - 13 February 2021
Zelfa deserved it but just by two points.
Warrington is up, what a battle but he is in DIRE STRAITS.

Lara is actually defensively terrible, but Warrington has no power.

I agree that’s it hard to believe that 3 experienced judges can give such bad cards but it happens often, for all ‘big’ promotional companies, in most countries.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑13 Feb 2021, 18:57Shite judging can happen anywhere agreed but I find it hard to believe that time and time again 3 experienced judges see a fight totally different to how stalwart boxing fans see it and tonight was no different.maverick23 wrote: ↑13 Feb 2021, 18:42How’s Eddie greedy and corrupt?CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑13 Feb 2021, 18:39 Oh man that is shocking.

Eddie’s not going to get much from Zelfa as he’s an accident waiting to happen but it will mean both Eddie and FW will have to pay more to get big name for feign opponents over. Guys like Gary Russell are less likely to want to come over so they’ll need more money to take the chance to not be screwed.
The judges are appointed by the board which is headed up by Robert Smith so ultimately he’s responsible for tonight’s shit show.
That doesn’t make the promoter corrupt though.

Well at least the scoring stinker of the last fight might not be the overshadowing standout feature of the night at least!
