BBN have provided viewers with all the details needed to tune in and watch the championship clash between NI's Sean McComb (11-0, 5KOs) and Welshman Gavin Gwynne (12-2, 2KOs) on the 50th day of the year.

The bout takes place on Friday, February 19.

It takes place behind closed doors at the Bolton Whites Hotel in Bolton, Lancashire, on an MTK Global show.

Darren Tetley (20-1, 9 KOs) vs Samuel Antwi (12-1, 5KOs) for the vacant English welterweight title will make for great viewing.
So will Danny Carr's(11-0-1, 4KOs) defence of his Southern Area super-featherweight title to challenger Dean Dodge (9-0-1, 3KOs), which doubles up as an English title eliminator.

I've been wanting to drop to lightweight for a while but there was a delay while we were trying to get a suitable opponent. I had to stay at super-lightweight for one more fight, but now we can put that behind us and push towards big things at lightweight."
Gavin Gwynne: "I've beaten unbeaten fighters before and on February 6th you will see it again."
DP Carr: "I'm going to get this win over Dean Dodge, and then I want the English title next. Ever since I won the Southern Area belt, the English title has been on my radar. Dodge will come for a bit of a fight, which is lovely for me. I like it when they come at me and have a go, because that's where they will leave themselves open and I'll make them pay, so we'll see how this one ends up."
Dean Dodge: "This fight is what dreams are made of. It’s going to open up a lot of doors. I’ve dreamed of this opportunity since being a kid and when I win this fight I’m going to be the first ever professional boxing champion from my hometown of Yeovil. I want to win the Southern Area title, then go on to fight for the English belt. I believe I have an exciting style that is good for tv and I’m never in a boring fight."

Tim Rickson, BBN Editor: "Sean McComb is the confident, unbeaten favourite in this fight, but it's his first real step up in levels and he has an experienced guy in front of him who has fought for this same title beore. Because Gwynne has been defeated twice before, I am going with a points win to McComb."
Background
This is Gavin Gwynne's second crack at the Commonwealth crown, having challenged unsuccessfully for it in August 2019 against the aforementioned Joe Cordina. The Lonsdale belt was also on the line that night, but he bounced straight back with a first round stoppage of Olympian Abdon Cesar in his next fight that same year, but soon tasted defeat for a second time in his career when he was halted by hard-hitting Irishman James Tennyson in their August 2020 British title fight, so August is not a good month for him when he fights.
A former Welsh Area champion, 30-year-old Gwynne has failed to win the British title twice and the Commonwealth once, so this is his third shot at a major belt. It's also his second consecutive fight with a Belfast boxer, making this Wales vs Northern Ireland 2 for him.
28-year-old Sean McComb was an elite amateur and hasn't put a foot wrong in the paid ranks yet. He stepped up in his last fight by beating a Southern Area champion in Siar Ozgul to reach 11-0 and set up his first title fight, which he enters as a clear favourite.
