Chris Byrd vs Valuev

Post by BoxBuzz »

It would be entertaining. I can't pick a winner here.

But I lean to the Byrd. I mean, he managed to tie up another Giant into a self defeating knot.

could he do it twice? I think so.

Could this have happened in real time?

Byrd would toy with Valuev. It would look similar to Haye-Valuev only without Valuev being hurt, as Byrd was feather-fisted. Byrd by wide dec objectively and by MD or SD with the traditional Valuev bout judges.

I'd be the winner here because I'd go to bed early.

I have to disagree with the "It'd be entertaining" comment. It'd be a dull mess.

I'd favor Byrd by decision, but if Valuev won it shouldn't shock me either. Byrd is quicker, more efficient with his skill. Valuev has such a size advantage that maybe he can trouble him or keep it even. I think Byrd would be very tentative and Valuev just wouldn't be good enough to do much. Maybe Byrd ekes out a close one.

Byrd wins on points. Valuev is just too slow.

I didnt say it would be an entertaining fight. Just seeing a Mutt and Jeff in the ring is always a hoot.

Valuev by decision after using his long jabs and size to pound the southpaw Byrd all over the ring.
