An elite athlete shouldn't look that gaunt @ the WI - trying to be a weight division bigger (he was).
@ the cost of turning in to David Price. :stop:
i mean, some guys just dont have the toughness or stamina for a certain level, those are abilities just as much as any others are. not necessarily a weight thing, but maybe we'll see what he's like at 154 now

ava also tightened his work up a bit and focused more on short inside shots and body work after finding it hard to hit kellys head from outside earlier on
David Price's career fell apart in 20 seconds in R4 (5?) against Tony The Tiger !

anti-Kelly feelings aside, how much do you think the bloodloss affected things?

That's it, not sure what the commentary team were watching, but Avanesyan was getting some quality shots in and none of it was getting picked up by the commentary.

Plus Kelly was completely blowing out of his arse by the end of the 4th, and no one noticed - He fell apart so quickly, I suspect his weight making and muscle gain hasn't helped.

Surely being that big @ the weight is what's causing the stamina issue ? :maybe:

why surely? lots of guys are big at a weight and can go more than 6. and it wasnt purely stamina either, he was getting hit with shots that added up.

david price who you mention doesnt have to cut any weight but he blew his arse too

Macklin was picking it up to be fair, I thought he kept trying to steer Smith into noticing all the work Ava was doing, but Smith just plowed on with saying how amazing Kelly was doing.

i dont really see how anyone could miss it come round 4, kelly literally spent 90 percent of the round prancing and getting hit more and more, and chased into corners while doing no work of his own. he did legit start well in the first 3 but at this level he's flash over substance when it gets going

then round 5, he spends half of it in close pushing ava back (as in literally, not with punches)without actually throwing, while ava keeps his hands moving pecking away.....

i didnt expect him to go down like that in the 6th, but you could see the shift was happening

Kelly is slick and flash but he's got no power. Gifted the draw v Ray Robinson, got beaten up properly tonight.

Kelly could have 100 fights vs Avaneyan over 12 rounds and he wouldn't win one.

i agree i could see the changing of the gaurd, it was also after kelly was having a good 2 and 3 but couldnt hurt david then you see the change coming, but i still dont get why kelly was fighting that way, he should be a centre ring moving pivting circles or back foot in and out booth aint the right man for him
