Depends where you are, but the route is the same. Won, win and keep winning.
Just takes a lot longer for non-US boxers.
If the Olympic games actually go ahead then that's one clear target for them.
The modern way seems to be by very careful and selective matchmaking. Keep the gambles to an absolute minimum, Vegas style.
Make as many friends in the media as you can. This is very much a who you know as what you know sport. With such high money stakes to play for it's not surprising that a loose cartel has formed at the top.
We all know who the criminals, err I mean movers and shakers, are. So make sure your fighters are treated well and make sure they are in cast iron contracts.
It could be heartbreaking to see talent stolen later on. This is not a sport known for its loyalty.
The recent rise of Eddie 'rematch clause' Hearn is a good example of how to do it.
He would be a great contact to start with.
The Sauerland brothers also seem like potentially decent partners.

I don't have any personal experience but a few thoughts I would have:
- At the early stages try to matchmake them with those who are better known but beatable so they have more of a chance to get noticed.
- Keeping them undefeated isn't the be all and end all. A loss is not the end of the world if they still look promising, some boxers can break world level with a couple of losses, especially when they get underestimated and picked as an opponent.
- One not for the the fans but to get them ranked would be to try and get them to accumulate small titles for the governing bodies such as the WBO European belt or something like that.
- Don't be afraid to co-promote an event if it means your promotion or boxer gets paid well enough and gets the exposure they need. This seems to be happening more lately and has given good exposure to boxers promoted by smaller promotions.
- As it's the 21st century, build their social media following to bring attention to your boxers.

To pay the corrupt sanctioning bodies.

Get them a few wins and make sure to attend the WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO Annual conventions and mingle with the right people and you will get your boxers to fight for a regional belt against nobody and then suddenly they are ranked.

Re: how to develop a prospect and get him into the rankings ?
First step is make sure your fighters eat nothing but Mexican street meat so they are big and strong.
Then Threaten to sue WBA if they don’t rank your fighters, that should get them top 15 on debut, mabey even with a WBA regular world title on the line.
After that I’d give Mauricio sailuman a really nice watch for his birthday, expect to be elevated to franchise champ soon after and have no pesky mandatory.
Once you have done that mabey party with Oscar, make sure you turn up cross dressed with a handbag full of coke, this should see your fighter as the ring champ in no time.
Final step entire team retire as a hall of famers

i would make sure not to tell your fighters that your plan for their careers is to just ask boxrec what to do ![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)
Re: how to develop a prospect and get him into the rankings ?
I could comment on how to get them rated on boxrec. But I assume that you want them rated by the ABC sanctioning bodies. In that case, the main thing you want to do is pick a particular sanctioning body to specialize in and focus on their rankings. Next, bear in mind that the lower titles are like a feeder to the world title and the rankings. So, taking the WBC rankings for example, there's the continental federations champions (ABCO, ABU, BBBoC, CISBB, EBU, FECARBOX, FECONBOX, FECONSUR), the affiliated titles champions (Commonwealth, Continental Americas, Francophone, Continental Latino American, Mediterranean, USNBC, Youth), the International Champion, and the NABF champion. Whenever you fight for any of these belts, you have to pay a fee, and you earn their favor when you pay them fees. Honestly, their rankings might as well be a ranking of who has paid them the most fees. I'm not an expert on how to get a shot at these lower titles, but I think you have to send them a letter and ask for it. Taking the WBC as an example, here is a link to their documents section, and I think in their you can find all of the info about their protocols and regulations, so somewhere in there it should explain the process behind how to request a regional title shot.
I've noticed that certain sanctioning bodies have regional biases. For example, the WBC tends to favor Mexican fighters. The IBO tends to favor South African fighters. I'm not sure if it's because they have a regional basis or if it's because of their relationships with specific promoters. At any rate, it might benefit you to target a sanctioning body whose biases align with your geographic region.

A man with deep pockets wouldn't be asking on boxrec about how to manage fighters and a man without deep pockets probably isnt going to get very far as a manager. Also this managing many fighters when you are just starting out, you are gonna do little for all of them instead of creating one big star with the potential to become a valuable fighter. But good luck.

This is great advice to bear in mind especially once you start breathing the same air as the boxing political elite.
Under the table international deals, total disregard for the rules or indeed indeed any lawbook, threat and seduction employed at will, and finally the ultimate weapon of coercion - blackmail. (Hey if it worked for Biden...!).
But this can all come into play later, first let your guys win a few fights and then maybe go and have an online/ telephone chat with a certain Don King.
Never speak to him in person. Just don't, not unless you want your mind scrambled.
