' Yeah, it was a good show. Some 50/50 fights for the fans and a chance to see some of our great prospects coming through. Look, we do what we do best, that's bringing young talent through to winning titles. We don't rely on big names to fill our shows just good quality match ups '
I haven't seen his latest interview but I guarantee it'll be something like this that won't be challenged by IFL or anyone else. The worse show ever televised, quality wise. If BT's budget for this show was anything more than a couple of hundred quid, they're the biggest mugs of all. This makes next weeks Matchroom show look like the Thriller in Manilla. It's not just about the fighters getting a payday, it's supposed to be entertainment. The viewing figures must have been tiny. An average MTK show with no UK TV is way better than this whatever the motivation behind it.

Your probably right although Fury will get to a point where he’ll question what FW has done to be worth £5m. AJ has his own deal with Sky, why couldn’t Fury have his own deal with BT?jameswilson wrote: ↑28 Feb 2021, 11:12The Fury partnership is going to be worth so much for him. If the two fighters are going to be sharing £100mill as is being rumoured then even if Frank has nothing out of the promotional side then he’s still going to be making a percentage of Fury’s £50 million. Most promoters it’s 20% I think if you fight on another persons show, given Fury has Arum as well it may not be 20% but even if it’s just 10% that’s 5 million quid.maverick23 wrote: ↑28 Feb 2021, 04:41 I was thinking about it after last night’s show - is FW still the number 2 promoter in the U.K. or has now been overtaken by MTK?
Yes - he has a piece of Fury but he was unable to get a U.K. fight sorted for him in December and last night’s show will be his only one up to the end of March.
MTK had a good show last week with McComb vs Gwynne and have others lined up including the Frampton world title fight.
I’d go as far as to say it may be the only thing keeping the old fella going.
Fury wanted to fight in the U.K. in December yet FW couldn’t get that done for him.

It may have got some viewers purely because Tommy Fury was on Love Island but agree that FW will likely say something like you’ve said.Rezzer1967 wrote: ↑28 Feb 2021, 11:58 ' Yeah, it was a good show. We all know the show was crap but I was still surprised by the lack of promotion for it even before the Cacace fight was cancelled. Very little promotion on social media (particularly when compared with what Matchroom have done recently).

I enjoyed main event, Mtk always put on good few evenly matched contests. Said that for ages .hard tho for promoter when there dropping like flies with Covid .

As a Stokie myself, am I being biased in thinking Heaney might get a English Title? Probably not British thoughhigh tower 1 wrote: ↑27 Feb 2021, 16:33 Think Heaney will get chinned when he moves up. Good offence but leaves himself wide open with his chin up.

I seen something on Twitter saying Tommy Fury fight peaked at 1.9 million , blows everything else from weekend out the water, Ryan Garcia can only dream of those numbers

Yeah I think he can do English. Just needs to tighten his defence up. And tuck his chin in !Bleak wrote: ↑28 Feb 2021, 12:52As a Stokie myself, am I being biased in thinking Heaney might get a English Title? Would have meant about half of the people who watched Love Island paid for BT and tuned in for it!

I’ve just seen the tweet from the guy who started the rumour
He even said on Thursday that he was going to make up a load of boxing viewing figures so people can argue about it.
Some of the numbers literally made me laugh out aloud - particularly when he argued with someone who questioned his numbers on the IFL show on YouTube that actually shows the views.

Yeah I remember when Hughie Fury v Parker was made for youtube. I was like this will be good as youtube literally says how many people are watching/have watched.
Suffice to say the numbers weren't high.

Claressa Shields is fighting PPV this weekend, im fascinated what the numbers will be, she's vile, reckons she should be earning Canelo type money for her achievements, she can't seem to grasp the concept of earning what your worth or what you can negotiatedookus wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 13:50I was watching and remember it peaking at around 8,500jameswilson wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 13:30 Yeah I remember when Hughie Fury v Parker was made for youtube. Be good if he does get a English Strap, although his fights are a nightmare to watch with all the football lot in attendancehigh tower 1 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2021, 04:22Yeah I think he can do English. "this a five rounder mate"
Re: Round-by-Round: Kaisy Khademi vs Ijaz Ahmed - 27 February 2021
Frank has made a lot of weak signings lately. Definitely quantity over quality. Im guessing he must be signing them all on short term deals having a look at them and quicklydiscarding a lot of them
Khademi on his Queensbury debut lost.
Akbaar on his debut looked poor and pillow fisted against a journeyman
Heaneys probably just been signed cause hes a ticket seller, british title is his ceiling I think.
