Unbelievable! Argentina has their version of Holyfield-Tyson II, a bite fight!!

Post by AntonioMartin »

It happened yesterday, Gabriel Omar Diaz bit Alejandro Luis Silva during the third round of their bout, taking a piece of Silva's left arm!! Diaz was disqualified and Silva retained his Argentine national Super Welterweight title. I just never believed I was going to see something like that take place again!!!

I looked for an online video but could not find it. However, this being a TyC Sport show it probably will appear in a couple days and then I'll post it here.

Here is a photo of just a second after the moment, the bite's victim at your right with clear blue trunks:

Like I said..unbelievable!!

There's been a few since Tyson. Chisora bit somebody early on in his career. Didn't Kash Ali bite David Price?

And who can forget the fiendish Marcos Maidana using his giant mouth and vampire gnashers to bite poor Floyd Mayweather's fingers THROUGH HIS BOXING GLOVE! Incredible scenes.

Andrew Golota bit a guy too.

Didn't Ivan Redkach recently bite somebody?

It's not common, but it happens.

I think mainly it's because they're losing and they want to get disqualified. Certainly in the case of Tyson and the bloke fighting Price.

I don't think Chisora was losing OR got disqualified :maybe: I think it was just him being him, trying to get noticed early on. He's always done stupid stuff to promote himself, and look at him: still getting paydays much better fighters can only dream of from it years later.

The Maidana-Floyd one was a joke. How do you bite somebody's fingers through a boxing glove? I don't know what Floyd was doing there. One of the strangest complaints to the ref by a fighter I've ever seen.

SMH! That's just crazy...

Whatever happened to "you can still win by a lucky punch?"

And yeah Chisora seems a "peculiar" individual but in his case, like Charlie Zelenoff's (worth $200,000 and with a hot gf to boot!) being peculiar seems to be working well for them!!!

In the case of Andrew Golota he actually won the fight where he did that believe it or not.

In his case I think he resorted to fouls whenever he got tired. He had so much of a street fighter, fight to survive instinct in him that whenever he was tired or felt threatened he would take it there because he wanted it to be over right now. Whatever the cost.

That's why he low blowed his way out of the Bowe fights.

Never mention Zelenoff in the same sentence as a professional boxer again.
