Alexis Arguello was in another skill level. Arguello by knockout in 7.

Arguello was a high level counter puncher, but Pacquiao had good foot movement. Each fighter would be able to exploit the others key weakness. So it's a real 50/50 fight.

I'd lean toward Arguello by a hair.

I'm taking Manny Pac- too fast for Arguello.

Yeah, I'm going with a prime Manny for this...
The Pac who was blitzing Cotto and Magarito would take this as well...

Well no sh*t. Arguello never competed at those weight classes.

Arguello's best shot comes at Featherweight. Pacquiao became more versatile with his offense as he moved up in weight. He was a 1,1,2 fighter for the longest.

I am aware of that Mr Gil. I wasreferring more to the form of Pacquaio rather than his weight. If hecoukd replicate that form at Lightweight, then I'd be confident... But Arguello is an old favourite of mine.

This bout would be tons of action and likely some riveting drama thrown in. They'd both get knocked down, in separate rounds. I think that Pacquiao would win a close decision.

I would lean towards Arguello, but this would have been a great fight.

Arguello was awesome. But speed and boxers could trouble him.Look what Pryor did and he wasn't as fast or hard punching as Pacqiauo.I think Pacquiao would stop him late

Probably Pac because of his speed advantage, but Arguello could stop Manny easily.
