This fights needs to happen this year and Charlo needs to stop barking around with things like "They’re kids. I’m not fighting nobody under 25, and I’ not fighting nobody that don’t take the COVID vaccination."

This fight would be better than BJS vs Smith / BJS or Plant! :box:

I’m cannot think of a valid reason why any marquee name would be remotely tempted to face an undisciplined fighter like Benavidez, that fails PED tests, fails to make weight, is relatively inactive, is commercially unpopular and doesn’t hold a title.

Benavidez is responsible for his own predicament.

He doesn’t deserve to receive opportunities he hasn’t earned.

Better fight possibly, but Canelo vs Plant would definitely be the biggest bout of any of those proposed, and would be pretty damn interesting I figure.

Canelo vs BJS is already kinda a foregone conclusion to me. Only slightly more interesting than Yildirim. Saunders will undoubtedly put up a better fight than Yildirim, but he has no more chance of winning than Yildirim did.

And while I'm personally a big fan of Benavidez, and find him exciting to watch I'd have to say I agree with EO that he's gonna have to stay disciplined, and get some more noteworthy wins if he wants any more big opportunities. As it is he's too dangerous for guys to just give him big fights out of kindness. He has to earn them somehow.

Charlo ain't had no marquee fight at 160 lbs too. He's not a big name like Canelo or GGG. Truth is Charlo wants to protect his 'O' and Benavidez has good chances to get Mall's 'O'. :OhYes: :box:

I agree that Benavidez must stay disciplined and active but let's not forget that both guys are stablemates and Charlo is the guy who is talking a lot that he's gonna do this and that, then he also says: "They’re kids. I’m not fighting nobody under 25, and I’ not fighting nobody that don’t take the COVID vaccination." Benavidez is eager to fight Mall.

I would like to see Benavidez confronting Mall like Jacobs did and see what he has to say! :OhYes:

Me too. It's a more intriguing fight especially that Mall talks a lot. Unfortunately I remember when Jacobs checked Mall and we know that Mall got humbled and he didn't want that work. :OhYes:

The thing is Charlo brought this upon himself, he ran his mouth talking sh*t. No one had David in Charlos radar until he started talking sh*t! Now we should see if Charlo has the balls to back up his words and fight Benavidez at 168 lbs! :OhYes: :box:

I didn’t actually claim that Charlo’s popularity was in the same realms of Canelo and GGG, they’re superstars in comparison, but Jermall is one of the sport’s biggest names that attracts sizeable audience figures.

I’d quote some stats and figures, but you’d probably reply with a snoozing or laughing emoji, because you don’t really like to deal with real-world factually-accurate figures.

I don't think anyone, especially Canelo or Charlo is in any hurry to face Benavidez.

Benavidez will have to blast his way to the top the same way GGG had to. Ronald Ellis will be the next obstacle come Saturday 13th March.

In the meantime all of his rivals should shut their mouths and crawl back to hide under the rocks where they might feel safe.

As for his failed 2018 PED test - it was clearly for recreational use. Let's just get that straight.

It was also quite impressive the way he came out and admitted it! Such honesty is almost unheard of in modern boxing.

None of your contaminated Mexican beef, wild boar testicles, spiked drinks, misuse of inhalers excuses, oral sex etc.

Yes, he has been rather casual in his approach so far, but that's often the way with talent.

Yup. Benavidez is a true honest-outspoken man. He admitted it and moved on. The thing is his stablemate Charlo is talking a lot of sh*t, so why not he's backing up his words?

And let's be honest who is out there at PBC for Benavidez other than Mall and Plant(who is "booked" for Canelo) ? Benavidez already beat Medina, Gavril, Love and Dirrell.

Charlo is the one who is talking sh*t and then he says he ain't gonna fight "kids" under 25 y/o, etc, etc. It sounds like quacking around. That boy Charlo better back his words and fight Benavidez or it's just a clear case of talking and ducking! :OhYes: :box:
