Re: Boxing heavyweight matches, who would win?
What a poor matchmaking. Fury should have been matched against Joshua. Miller should have been matched against the anti-doping comission. Wilder should have been matched against Breland.
Re: Boxing heavyweight matches, who would win?
I don't think it's that bad, although Fury - Joshua is the more natural match-up at the top of the division. I think what's poor is... who actually posts a topic asking for the outcome of 74 different matches? It's like he's trying to mainline every boxing discussion into one thread. "Hey, talking about boxing is fun, but have you ever tried snorting 74 boxing threads at once?"
Re: Boxing heavyweight matches, who would win?
Better question: how many of these fights will actually happen?

This takes me back to those multiple fight mega-cards that Don King used to put on in the 90's.
Re: Boxing heavyweight matches, who would win?
Not enough fights on that list mate

Re: Boxing heavyweight matches, who would win?
Wow. That's a lot of fights but I'll have a go ...
Fury is the one fighter I can't envisage Usyk beating. That doesn't mean I'd expect him to beat everyone else but Fury is so long and so mobile Usyk would be forever struggling to close the range. He'd need a 16' ring to have any chance.
You can't write off the possibility of Wilder upsetting the apple-cart, but I reckon Joshua has the know-how to keep clear of that right hand and to land his own bombs. I've always said I see that fight playing out the same way as Joshua v Martin.
Povetkin's achievements both amateur and pro dwarf those of Ortiz. Apart from a very impressive crushing of Bryant Jennings, it has to be said, who else has he beaten worth a light?
I would have said Parker all day long but he didn't look like a top ten contender against Fa did he? I'd love to see it while Pulev is still not too eroded by time.
I would said Miller prior to the drug scandal but we don't know how his stamina and punch volume holds up without pharmaceutical enhancement.
Ruiz beats Kownacki if he's in any kind of reasonable shape. Too skillful, great handspeed.
Hunter v Rivas. Excellent match. I'd possibly edge toward Hunter but I wouldn't dismiss Rivas' chances. He's a fierce little bugger.
Hrgovic v Joyce. Hrg has not impressed recently. Joyce is riding high following the win over Dubois. It's a really hard pick even so. I'd say Joyce but not with any great confidence.
Yoka to beat Dychko. Is he even still interested in pursuing his pro career.
Chisora is enjoying an indian summer but does struggle with movers. Fury-light is nothing if not a 'mover'. I'll say Hughieby decision. Obviously by decision.
An intriguing match but after the Breazeale fight I'd pick Kabayel to outlast him.
Takam is not what he was. My pick is the improving Bakole-Ilunga.
That's a good fight. Depends how Dubois has recovered psychologically - from his eye injury more than his defeat.
Another good fight which could easily go either way. Gassiev I guessiev.
It depends on which Helenius turns up. He's very capable of stinking the place out and losing but if you force me I'll say Helenius by knockout because Martin's defence isn't great and Helenius can really dig.
I'd say Jalolov being the more rounded figher. He'd need to be extremely careful though.
If Majidov has still got it I'd pick him as he's better than Nistor. The Romanian would put him under a lot of pressure though he never stops coming forward.
Jennings to outpoint Breazeale methinks. If he hasn't hung 'em up.
Romanov is a class act but he's getting on now. I think I'd favour Sanchez-Faure but it's a pick 'em.
I like Kossobutsky, a very skilled pressure fighter. I've not been that impressed with Vykhryst since seeing Joyce hand his arse to him as an amateur.
Sirenko or Vianello? Two very promising prospects who looked like crap last time out. I could pick one but I might as well toss a coin.
I'll pick Shaw. He finally seems to be looking to progress his career. Franklin isn't going anywhere in my opinion.
You b'stard Anderson or Huni? That's a really tough call. Both these guys are heading for the top of the division and have greatly impressed me. I'll stick my neck out a little and say Huni will be Australia's best ever heavyweight whereas Anderson won't be America's. Who is better though? I'll say Anderson just because he's bigger physically.
Milas is better than McKean who was very fortunate to get past Jonnie Rice.
Tischenko is a quality boxer. Babic is a novelty act that will come unstuck as soon as he encounters someone who can fight. He's great to watch though, fair play to him. I'd love to see him fight Rostislav Pletchko but he seems to have dropped off the radar.
Until the Parker fight I'd have said Hemi Ahio but if Julius Long can drop him I'm damn sure Fa could. I'm now edging toward Fa but it'd be a good fight.
Zhang destroys Schwarz. The German doesn't survive long enough for Zhang's lack of stamina to become an issue.
Kean got sparked by Carman which caused me to lose faith in him. I loved Polite-Coffie's demolition of Darmani Rock so heart over head I'm picking MPC.
Larduet was a good amateur and seems to be developing well as a pro. Wardley can't compare for experience but looks better and better each time out. Poor Lartey didn't know what hit him. I'll back my compatriot.
I'll pick Demirezen as he's fought at a much higher level tham Camkiren has so far.
I didn't see Bryan v Stiverne. I understand he didn't look good but I pick him to out-gut Washington who generally folds under pressure.
Hard to say. Charr hasn't fought for three years. Teper's good performances were generated by his friendly local pharmacist.
Hammer is still acquitting himself well at a high level. Gorman's step up to a higher level ended badly. I'll go for Hammer.
Perez has been retired about 5 years hasn't he? Lippe isn't going any further.
Wach and Duhaupas were both good fighters who are now washed. Wach appears to have more left there's no way prime Duhaupas loses to Yoka in one round.
I'd say Price is levels above but he is capable of losing to anyone.
Davtaev talks a lot but has done nothing. I'll go with the reliable veteran cruiserweight.
Zhakozhy and Arias are both unproven. Who knows?
I'll pick Conto as Chaney seems devoid of ambition.
Rozanski is tough but very limited. Myrtasaev lacks pro experience and I don't know too much about him if I'm honest.
Adeleye has only had about three fights. He'd be conceding a lot of weight. I'll say Meehan even though his career has been stop-start.
Kuzmin beats Fedosov who I believe has retired.
Aliev is unimpressive. I've never heard of Lallyev and I'm not looking him up as that would be cheating.
Ustinov was better than Dimitrenko. Don't know if he still is.
Teslenko beats the man whose body looks nothing at all like rock.
Kadiru if only on the basis that the big man Thun has achieved even less so far.
Torres beats Morrison who much like his half brother Trey Lippe lacks their father's ability and ambition.
Mailata definitely.
The Dragon King would have to come out of retirement. Nobody even knows if Lovejoy can fight. Assume not.
Miljas is big enough and tough enough to ride out the storm and be the first to beat Plechko.
I think Lunquist is further along than Kristiansson but we don't really know enough to say until they get tested.
Pfeifer is is fresher and an experienced amateur but he doesn't seem to be doing much. He beats Frank though.
Hines has been disappointing so far. Sands is unheralded and untested but I'll say Sands purely because he hasn't disappointed thus far.
I think Ibeh lacks experience but Slugger lacks the skills to not get hit. Ibeh could knock him out but Forrest could outlast him.
Browne would have crushed Leapai a coupleof years back but he's well washed now so who knows?
Hussein Muhammad probably beats Kash Ali who was outclassed by Price.
Arreola has mixed at top level. Based on his performance against Kownacki he's too much for Dave Allen.
Molina and Negron are two fighters never very good anw post prime. Who has more left?
Neither as good as promised. I'll say Alfonsoas Izu retired after Rozanski stopped him.
Siwy has been around forever and never fought anyone. I'll say Rudenko who is tough as old boots and has fought at a much higher level.
Kingpin has fought successfully at a much higher level but has now regressed to Sokolowskiy's level. I'd pick the Devon based Pole as I think he probably cares more these days.
Dawejko beats Kiladze in my opinion.
Fujimoto is rubbish. Webb is merely poor and wins handily.
I'd go with Booker but it's hard to say. Witherspoon is more predictable. Booker can surprise by beating better or worse than expected.
Tereshkin beats Thomas.
Seferi or Gashi? That's like asking what tastes better; a beetle sandwich or mouse-stew. Gashi.
I'd go for Howard but Winters can surprise you.
Granat is retired but he was better than Cojanu despite his crushing defeat by Dimitrenko.
Stiverne still beats Szpilka even though they are both washed.
Lartey I am familiar with. Not so Kalinga or whatever his name was.
DeMori I am familiar with. Not so Eberneezer Tetteh.
Liakhovic or Peter. In their primes I'd say Peter. Now? Depends if Liakhovic has regressed as much as Peter so obviously has.
Is Perea still fighting? I don't know anything about Hernandez.
Tronche hasn't impressed me much but if he's deserving of his status as France's number two prospect at heavyweight then he should get past Djeko.
I have sat less gruelling examinations than this. Do I get a certificate?
(Yep. Certified ferkin idiot!)
Fury is the one fighter I can't envisage Usyk beating. That doesn't mean I'd expect him to beat everyone else but Fury is so long and so mobile Usyk would be forever struggling to close the range. He'd need a 16' ring to have any chance.
