How would you match Smith? I’d be tempted to give him Cheeseman or build up an all Liverpool clash with Fowler but he probably thinks he’s above that.

The world champions are both extremely good and on other networks so there’s no easy route to a title.

A win over this guy will probably get him a top 5 ranking and I assume he’ll be very well paid for it. Very tough fight though but it’s good to see more of those happening.

if anything, when you actually look at each fighter's experience, smith would be ava and kurbanov would be kelly

smith is 32, fought at the highest level, and needs to get active. here is a younger, and promising but in experienced opponent. the winner gets in good world title challenging position, so its an important fight in that respect. and if charlo and castano fight for the undisputed next, id think there's a good chance the winner drops the title not long after to move up
