That’s the point. Unfortunate he didn’t get the big money for one nights work against a big US name. He had to graft. But his graft/suffering allowed Naz and lazy fighters since to earn big (upto Chisora/Whyte etc).

Of course it’s true. He lives a secluded life and sat on a fortune.
Frank Dux The Truth
I would suggest that you not downplay the achievement of Grand Sensei Frank W. Dux of The Ancient Order Of The Black Dragon...
Those of us who are aware of the privileged information know that cessation of violent acts by the multitude of militant groups in Northern Ireland - was because of "Project Red Tiger". This operation Grand Sensei Dux single-handedly located and broke into multiple headquarters of the paramilitary groups...
He did so unarmed and using only the camouflage and mysticism of Dux-Ryu Ninjitsu which he has been developing, in secret, for many decades now... Upon meeting The Top Men of each faction, he employed the potentially fatal Guangxi Death Grip on them until they agreed to surrender....
Many, many years later in "Project Blue Tiger" he employed the same methods and techniques to infiltrate the complex in Pakistan and kill 31 armed belligerents and acquire Mohammed Bin Laden uninjured although disagreeable and brought him back to American custody...

Hagler never avoided Graham.coghaugen11 wrote: ↑24 Feb 2021, 08:16 Heck, Hagler literally avoided Graham. Gave up the title. Eubank never gave up a title, and wouldn’t of he says no matter what.
He fought the far more celebrated Sugar Ray Leonard for a career high payday; a fight that was five years in the making.
Would you rather have seen him plod after Herol Graham, only for Herol to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, just like bomber did every single time he fought elite opposition?

And yes, any true boxing fan would rather see the top two in the division (Bomber and Hagler) face off, than a nonsense debacle like Hagler-Leonard was.
You’d rather Ramirez faced, say, Mayweather randomly? I’d much rather see him face Taylor personally, hence me being on this boxing record forum with the other dozen of you. You guys need to stop tying yourselves up in knots.

Meanwhile back in the early 90s Ray Mercer, Gerald McClellan, Michael Moorer and Riddick Bowe were all happy to separate themselves from the WBO title as it was rightfully seen as just about meaningless.

If it was meaningless then ITV wouldn’t of branded it as a World Championship, crowds wouldn’t of flocked to see Eubank in 12-rounders. Not Eubanks fault if hardcore boxing fans didn’t appreciate that title, the guy was told otherwise and making a living. Nothing to do with him.

Point the finger at the family of his manager/promoter and the TV company. Eubank wasn’t even a fan of boxing as a sport so knew none the wiser.

When Leonard retired in about 81/82 he was a welter/super-welter, Hagler was eyeing Qawi and Spinks at light-heavy/heavy. 6-7yrs later or whatever and Leonard fights him.
Any true hardcore boxing fan worth their salt would’ve rather seen the Top Two in the division facing off to see just who was #1. Graham or Hagler. And it would’ve been Graham, hands down

PS Ramirez isn’t even in the same stratosphere as individual belt holders Nunn, Graham (NON-belt holder), McCallum, Toney or Jones Jr in terms of boxing ability

Great list of all the fighters Eubank avoided. Thanks Cogcoghaugen11 wrote: ↑09 Mar 2021, 07:10 PS Ramirez isn’t even in the same stratosphere as individual belt holders Nunn, Graham (NON-belt holder), McCallum, Toney or Jones Jr in terms of boxing ability

How do you explain Snr going bankrupt when he’s so intelligent? Or him driving Bentleys on Jrs wages when he only got to the semi final? Where was the foot movement in that bout when Groves jabbed his head off?

Eubank is the truth. There’s no getting around it.
He will be the olive lamp to the side of Christ on His return in the clouds.
