Hi
I found the following 1914 newspaper item which does not seem to be reflected in the database, relating to an event which occurred on 8 Aug 1914 and was reported in the press one week later on 15 Aug 1914:
"Boxing. Tonypandy Contests. At the New Marquee, Tonypandy, on Saturday night, the chief bout was one of fifteen 3-minute rounds between Billy ROWLANDS, Porthcawl, and Charlie YEOMANS, Pontypridd. The Pontypridd man was disqualified in the fourth round for holding and victory went to ROWLANDS. In minor contests Lewis WILLIAMS, Pengam, defeated Young NORMAN, Pontypridd, after six rounds, the latter retiring, and Kid DAVIS, Pentre, was easily beaten by Kid MURRAY, Pentre, in six rounds."
