That's a good list, any one of those guys would be a sensible choice except maybe Browne who is well past his sell-by-date now.

Just for the sake of contributing more than a box-tick, I thought I'd add the only other two possibilities that occurred to me ...

Joey Dawejko can always be relied upon to offer a genuine test for any aspiring heavyweight who is looking to establish himself as a top twenty contender.

Perhaps more in the moment given his draw with Zhang Zhi Lei, I'd suggest Jerry "Slugger" Forrest. A win over Forrest would be a good step up. I'm sure Polite-Coffie hits as hard as Zhang, and as a former US Marine I image he will have good discipline and stamina, the latter being the Chinaman's undoing.

I expect that Forrest and MPC should be looking for their next fight at around the same time given the proximity of their latest encounters. That would help in making the match.

Lucas Browne would be a good step up if Coffie can get him.

Browne is the kind of highly desirable fighter that is sought after by up and coming boxers.

Browne's not dangerously quick or wickedly elusive. He's not liable to go down without a fight either.

He might play hard to get but right now he's the perfect opposition for Coffie who has no choice but to keep improving fight by fight.

When you think where Coffie's coming from, his is already a remarkable story.

You do know that Browne was stopped in three by Dave Allen don't you?

Dave is supposedly recently retired but he was totally outclassed by David Price in 2019 before the Browne fight. If MPC is serious about stepping up to the next level from Darmani Rock, Lucas no longer qualifies I'm afraid.
