I agree with the OP’er on every point especially that Poot line about the Boxrec Bullies that took over this forum. But to his real point about Frazier, paraphrasing, why has this guy never ever received his due.
I’ve honestly asked myself this many times when this fight continually comes up. I feel like the reason was because so many fans wanted Ali to win and they still can’t come to grips with the outcome. Similarly to Hagler fans that still can’t give Sugar Ray proper credit for clearly winning that fight. Instead they point to SRL’s immaculate ring I.Q. that night but instead calling it running which is when I stop talking Boxing with this dope bc he just doesn’t get the sport.
I’ll admit it. I’m the same way with the Canelo/GGG fights. There’s no way GGG lost either fight and I refuse to give Canelo credit for them. But Frazier clearly won that fight and he did it in a big way with that knockdown late. I just think people will never heal from it and that’s why Frazier isn’t anywhere close to where he should be on the All Time lists. It’s sad for sure and you could tell because all accounts seem to say that it just got worse for Frazier all those years after it.
Everyone thinks Joe is great...he is just usually not placed in the top, top, top tier because he eventually went 1-2 with Ali and how the Foreman fight looked....but obviously he is an all-time great.
Ya, like wtf man, Joe not getting his due? He's a universal atg , everyone regards him as one and as a historic figure in boxing, what more do you want? i mean when he went 1-4 (3) vs foreman and ali of course he's not gonna be seen as the goat or anything
and the first ali fight happened have a century ago and it's still getting celebrated each year, i mean do you want a parade for it or something bruhster?
there are lots of great fighters who never really got enough due, but joe aint one
Frazier is a one of the best ever. He cleaned up the division and won prime Ali, so that's not just "1-2 against Ali". He won Ali, when he was at his best, whatever Ali fanboys cry about the time off, after which Ali even had an opporftuinity to be back at the prime age and get rid off the rust. It's Frazier, who made Ali past prime, and Frazier was just destroying everybody, while he was a reigning champion, until he met Foreman, to whom it was no shame to lose by a KO. Mathis, Bonavena, Ellis, Quarry, Foster - Frazier brutally battered all of them. Furthermore, Smokin' Joe even had enough guts to stand up 6 f*cking times vs Big George. Who else was able to do that against the greatest puncher ever? To question Frazier's greatness is delirious.

He was just 1-2 against Ali...that’s just a fact....so not sure what the quotes are for.
Yeah, just a fact of going 1-2 against Ali. Not a big deal at all. Everyone do it every day. And you probably should get better acquainted with the era overall.
