Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - June 2021?
I mentioned Wlad and Wilder, Chisora was a good win at the time but Del was fringe world level in his pomp, blown up Crusier Cunningham was decent i suppose but too much fluff in between, as for what i want i just want him to fight regular and build momentum, stop talking about fights if he's no intention of taking them next, ive no problem with a warm up but he was the one who put out the video thanking Kinahan, if Joshua starting backtracking he'd deservedly get pulled up on it, it was generally accepted Fury/Joshua was next, if it doesn't happen then because Fury wants a warm up then fine but again just stop blowing smokemickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 10:23Not quite accurate their. Undefeated Del, Wlad in Germany, Wilder twice in America. What more do people want? Everyone knows he’ll fight AJ, no problem, but he won’t let the piss be taken out of him. I’d do a warm up bout.handsofstone wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 10:17Aye fair enough but he talks more sh1t than anyone in boxing, said he'd fight Whyte then changed his mind, his resume bar Klitschko and Wilder is mediocre and he's never made a single title defence, if he wants a tune up then fine but don't talk bollocks then blame the other side,mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 04:50
Tyson doesn’t Sh!t it from anyone. It really wouldn’t surprise me if he goes for a warm up.
It might be mind games but you never know with Fury, maybe he wants to write another book,
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - June 2021?
They are waiting on the government in Nevada to get things boxed off properly (Covid). Boring but true.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - June 2021?
Troubled is , that could be open ended and drag out for ages .
When was the last time he fought ? I could see a situation where inactivity could cost him dear .
Who is Joshua likely to fight in the meantime?

If he is pricing himself out of a tune up fight then somebody sensible in his camp should point out the bigger picture to him. Whether there’s anybody of sufficient stature in his support team to say no to Tyson is debatable.Manchester Hitman wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 08:30He was supposed to fight in December, but he wanted too much money. Then he said yesterday he doesn’t want to fight behind closed doors. He is not going to have any kind of interim fight at a discounted rate - it doesn’t matter if he is earning £100m for AJ. It’s just not going to be something he will be willing to do.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 07:07Tyson needs an interim fight - it increases his chances of beating AJ significantly. He shouldn’t even worry about getting paid for it- the extra % he’ll get by going into the AJ rematch as the winner will more than offset any lack of earnings for a tune up fight.Manchester Hitman wrote: ↑11 Mar 2021, 19:52 Their getting ready to shaft the public - it looks clear to me.
Watch out for an announcement that its signed - but both will have an interim fight first.

That's a intriguing fight , I'd take that .Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 12:55Also, Usyk and team are trying to push hard as well.

He had his chance for a tune up, If he don,t take Aj , then Aj will probably be for ed to fight Usyk Really does sound like Furys bottle has gone, ,think he,s relized Unlike Klichko Akj will come for him, And he,s not gonna be too big for Aj either,,,, If not Aj i,d like to see him fight Ruiz and if Ruiz is fit and slimmer ,i would put a 100 on Ruiz knocking him out , styles and all that ,, but definetly seems like Gfury is fancying it less and less

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - June 2021?
Watched some of the aforementioned interview. Shades of Fury-Wlad 2 there. Says he's on the piss every night, nothing's happening, was training for ages but now can't be bothered. He just looks fed up and bored, which we all are to be fair. I can relate: was training hard all through lockdown and spent a load of money on weights and stuff and now cannot be bothered and am back on the beers.
People say mind games when he says stuff like this but I completely believe him: unmotivated, bored, and sacked it off. When and if the fight's signed, he might get motivated again. If it gets dragged out longer I can see him going AWOL again.
When he says about not fighting in the UK again, I'd hazard a guess that it was the Kinahan documentary, which dragged him through the mud throughout. I expect he thinks that he worked hard to win UK fans over, and that doc (and it is his fault through being so vocally associated with DK, same as the stuff he said before that was offensive to certain groups of people that the press lapped up) he thinks has probably killed his image as a nice bloke stone dead.
I like Tyson because he's human. If his head's not in it then his head's not in it.
The AJ fight will happen eventually. I've stopped caring that much, personally.

If 100 million plus , can't motivate him , he may has well just pack it all in now ,, Too be fair He does strike me has the typw of guy who , is'nt too concerned about the money , because he probably has enough to see him through , but another 100 mill will ensure his kids never have to work eitherCyclops wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 19:52 Watched some of the aforementioned interview. Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - June 2021?
It seems like inactivity and Fury don't mix well. Since his comeback he has always seemed positive and motivated. He fought 6 times in 2 years and won his strap.
Now the hype has gone from the Wilder win and he doesn't have his next move planned out. Hopefully the signatures are coming soon.
A few days prior, Big John had an ifl interview also and said Tyson hasn't stopped training and is match ready now so who knows. Could just be more mind games

Klitschko and Wilder are better wins than anything any other active heavyweight has on their record so I call b**locks on anyone trying to trash his record. In reality he beat Wilder twice - in America - and did Wlad in Germany, snapping a 12-year winning streak. Whether you like the man or not those are standout performances.handsofstone wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 10:17Aye fair enough but he talks more sh1t than anyone in boxing, said he'd fight Whyte then changed his mind, his resume bar Klitschko and Wilder is mediocre and he's never made a single title defence, if he wants a tune up then fine but don't talk bollocks then blame the other side,mickey1975 wrote: ↑12 Mar 2021, 04:50Tyson doesn’t Sh!t it from anyone. It was a worry seeing the size of him running in the sea a few weeks back so he definitely had Xmas off. He’s a complex character so I just hope he gets his head in the game. Hearn has been saying for months announcement end of March so am not too worried yet. He’s clearly chewed not to have fought in December and I thought his tweet after Josh Warrington lost was a clear dig at certain people in his promotional circle.

Hearn on Fury-Joshua: I Think We Are Days Away From Announcement
“I think we are days away,” Hearn said. “I know I have said that two and five weeks ago, but we are days away from giving everyone some good news.
“Bob Arum has said the contract is agreed and that is correct, it goes around now for everyone’s signature, so we are nearly there. The next process, which has been on-going for a couple of weeks, is securing the venue and the site deal and that is progressing well.
“We want to make the fight in June or early July because we want to do two this year.”
While Saudi Arabia, where Joshua beat Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019, has generally been seen as the most likely venue, Hearn insists that six or seven options are on the table. These include the United States, China, Singapore, other nations in the Middle East and the UK, although the last seems unlikely.
“If it wasn’t our homeland then we wouldn’t bother [considering it],” Hearn said. “The only way we could possibly do it in the UK is if we are guaranteed if we can get 100,000 people in Wembley and that seems almost impossible.
“America has opened up as an option, we are in talks with Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys about having 70,000 for Canelo-Saunders.
“And I believe Las Vegas is close to opening up to 50 percent capacity, could they have 100 percent by July?
“If they could, they could be a player and they will need something monstrous to bring people back.”
"I don’t think he’s aware of what’s happening,” Hearn said. “There hasn’t really been a delay from our side. The communication lines have been open the whole time.
“People have thought ‘oh, it’s going to slip away’. It’s just that there are more people in their team than our team and things take a little bit longer because of the interval dynamics.
“I’ve spoken to their team, everyone is happy, everyone is ready to move forward and, as I say, originally we were going to begin negotiations with the sites once the deal was done, but because of the timeframe, we started doing that two weeks ago, so we’re already quite advanced.
“Now it’s our job collectively with the two teams to go out and present the options and the sites to the two fighters for them to agree which one to take.”
He said that he expected the first announcement from the two fighters will merely confirm the deal has been signed, with a venue and date announced later.
“If we are going to deliver this fight late June, early July at the latest, we need to get that moving,” he said. “That’s why we took the decision to start those conversations a couple of weeks ago, so we have a number of phone calls to move forward with the finalising of site offers.
“There will be at least half a dozen offers to stage this fight, which we will have to present to our client and Top Rank will have to present to their client, and ask which one would you like to move forward with?
“The world is going to open up very quickly in May, June and July. People want to scream from the roof tops that they're open and staging one of the biggest events in the world of sport is a great opportunity for them.
“Although some people want to be pessimistic about a fight happening or site deals while we are very optimistic and we want to give you the process of what is happening. It's very, very positive to have all parties put pen to paper.”
But Hearn said the fight going ahead ultimately comes down to Fury signing the contract.
“I would like to believe Tyson Fury wants to fight Anthony Joshua,” Hearn said. “What I would like to hear from him is 'The only fight I want is Anthony Joshua' because that is how we feel.
“The only fight that AJ wants is Tyson Fury. Although they are going to put pen to paper, the interview was a bit disappointing because I want to hear him say 'This is it for boxing, the only fight I'm interested in is Anthony Joshua'.
“I don't know whether he was in a bad mood or pulling everyone's plonker. What I do know is everyone has put a lot of work into this deal and he is on board.”

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - June 2021?
Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua sign two-fight deal to unify heavyweight titles
After months of arduous negotiations between competing promoters and rival champions, the contract for a two-fight deal between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua to unify the heavyweight titles has finally been signed.
"We'd like to get a site deal confirmed in the next month," said Eddie Hearn, managing director of Matchroom Sport, Joshua's promoter. "The hard part is always getting everybody to put pen to paper. But this was a major effort from all parties to get this over the line. You had rival promoters, rival networks and rival fighters."
Not to mention rival egos, always a factor in boxing. The final signature came Saturday, in a provision of services agreement with signees believed to include Fury and Joshua; Joshua's promoter, Matchroom Boxing; Fury's American promoter, Top Rank; Fury's English promoter, Queensbury; and Fury's management company, Dubai-based MTK.
With the terms of the deal now agreed, principals can solicit offers from prospective sites.
"I actually feel we've done the hard part," Hearn said. "Speaking for myself, Anthony and his team at 258 management [258 MGT], I know how hard we've worked hard these last couple of months and I just feel that this fight is so big it's not a difficult sell. We've already had approaches from eight or nine sites. The offers have come from multiple countries in the Middle East, from Asia, Eastern Europe and America."
The smart money, however, continues to be on the Middle East, where Hearn secured a site fee in excess of $40 million to promote Joshua's 2019 rematch with Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia. The need for a huge site fee becomes particularly acute with seating restrictions and businesses still reeling from COVID, as Middle Eastern countries are seeking less in attendance than favorable publicity.
"This is the biggest fight in boxing and one of the biggest sporting events in the world," Hearn said. "It will be a major, major win for a country that wants to showcase itself."
As ESPN previously reported, the contract calls for a 50-50 split in the first fight and 60-40 in the rematch, with the winner taking the higher share. The plan is for both fights to take place in 2021 -- the first in June or July, the rematch ideally taking place in November or December. But news of the deal comes just days after Fury expressed frustration with the negotiations that began back in January, telling IFL-TV that he had ceased training for Joshua and was drinking "up to 12 pints a day."
"You never really know with Tyson," Hearn said. "It could be mind games. He could be having a bad day. He could be a little pissed off. Or he could be having a joke.
"One of the fascinations about this fight will be the buildup because they're two totally different characters, two totally different personalities. The mind games will be on another level for this fight. Tyson is very good at that. Anthony is excited by that... He's so pumped, so focused, he hasn't stopped training since the [Kubrat] Pulev fight [in December]. He's like a caged lion. The buildup is going to be epic."
