Haye ranked No 1 in the WBC

I doubt the Maloney's will win the purse bids for this fight to be honest, Haye is fighting in leisure centres at the moment. Bell is backed by Showtime I believe. Who promotes him is it King?

Bell must be due a mandatory. The last WBC mandatory was in October 2002, when Wayne Braithwaite was champion

Warrior boxing promotes Bell still I think.

Doesn't a unification fight (i.e. Mormeck v Bell in Jan) have some bearing on when a mandatory is due?

I don't think there should be any rush on Haye's part in all honesty, he should at least try and get a full 10 or 12 rounder in before fighting Bell even if he has to carry his opponent to the final bell.

Cheers. I wonder if Warren might get involved, could be a good one for a Woods v Johnson double header as Warren won the purse bids for that in conjunction with Warriors.

Bell v Haye and Woods v Johnson would do alright at the MEN I reckon.

The weight could be an issue though, Haye has admitted he is struggling to get to the cruiserweight limit

Just a thought! More interested in his Miami beach body than keeping his weight down. ;)

Even in his next fight against this Abdoul fella, just outbox him and dont go for the KO and get the rounds in. Unless he does I dont give him much chance against Bell. Imagine going into that fight only having gone 8 rounds AND with the Thompson defeat in the back of your mind.

Maloney won't get a title fight for Haye in this country he hasn't got the clout. He's just a nobody who doesn't know anything about boxing, he got lucky with Lewis when he was no more than an office boy and he lives on that and his antics in his Union Jack suit. He wouldn't know a top prospect if he smacked him on the chin. If it goes to purse bids, Warren will beat him and Maloney will have to bend over for his former employee!. Best thing Haye can do is get a decent promoter who cares about his fighters rather than one who treats them like meat!. And where or where has his brother gone?.

That is a bit harsh. Maloney is a good fella and knows his stuff he just doesn't have financial backing at the moment.

Did'nt he sign Paul Ingle and Scott Harrison as amateurs???

I don't particularly like Maloney myself,but that was a bit harsh!!
He ain't done too bad in the boxing world really has he?
I mean,obviously you have achieved far more,but he deserves a bit of credit
