a round where one guy is down once and the other is down twice. I was watching Danny 'Little Red' Lopez v Ruben Olivares the other day and after Lopez went down mid-way thru the first he sent Olivares to the canvas twice for 8 counts before the bell. I don't think it was 10point must system back then but if it was would it be scored 10-9 to Lopez?
Olivares tended to go down early in few of his fights, but what a great champion he was.
How would you score. . . .

If it was on the 10-point must system, it would be scored 10-8. Take in to account Oscar de la Hoya-Ike Quartey, round six. Both hit the canvas, but Ike had a better round. 10-9 for Quartey. Had he floored Oscar again, it would have been 10-8. There are many instances that represent your actual case but I can't remember them right now.

Do yourself a favor, send a PM to npalboxing...he's a judge and he could give his version and give you what a sanctioning body would want.el tigre del sur wrote:a round where one guy is down once and the other is down twice. Thanks I did that and npal would score it 10-8 (like evndrbsn) to Lopez given that the other 2 knockdowns would negate each other and with Lopez winning the round & the extra knockdown he wins 10-8. makes sense.Mattyp151 wrote:Do yourself a favor, send a PM to npalboxing...he's a judge and he could give his version and give you what a sanctioning body would want.
