There needs to be clarity on this one way or the other. Fast. I don't just mean on here. It's not enough for people or even Marvin's family to say 'respect their/our privacy'. If he was vaccinated, when was it? Did he have a significant adverse reaction? Was it the cause of death?

Also, if it turns out Tommy Hearns first posted about Marvin being in ICU following an adverse reaction to the vaccine without fact checking first, he needs to get on television and say so.

I guess exercise and staying in shape has minimal benefits to a long life.

RIP Marvelous
I saw a video on bitchute of a woman who is the wife of a U.S. military man. He used to be "healthy as a horse" according to her. His pulse used to be about 70 beats per minute. After getting the vaccine, his pulse is 35 and he has chest pain and his heart beats loud. He has difficulty sleeping. He had to go to the emergency room twice. He may never regain his health.

Some mainstream online broadsheet newspapers saying he passed away peacefully at home. I suspect all the talk of vaccine reactions was probably either inaccurate or coincidental, such as the blood clot story that seems to have blown over now.

The only place I’ve seen about the vaccine is Hearn’s Instagram post, and he seemingly didn’t even know Hagler had passed away at that point so I’m rather dubious as to its accuracy.

Today’s trash humans who box would do well for the good of the sport to take note of a proper fighter and a proper man - always in shape, no drugs and always a gent outside the ropes. Hagler was the man!

So your suggestion is that at a terrible time for them, Marvin’s family should put themselves through the ordeal of discussing the results of Marvin’s autopsy publicly just to satisfy a few flat earthers on social media.

Yes. With such a high profile figure (Hearns) saying what he did, there is a bigger picture responsibility.

Generally in a fit & healthy person; the lower your resting heart rate the fitter you are. I keep myself fit, and have a resting heart rate of 40-45bpm ... if it was 70 bpm resting then that would concern me more.
A resting heart rate of 35bpm is either an Olympic athlete ... or somebody very ill.

60-70 bpm is quite normal for moderately fit people. Larger people and bodybuilders with high bodyweights might be over 70. I always used to think under 50 was decent enough for an amateur athlete. Genetically 40-45 is pretty rare. I don’t know of anyone with a rate of 35 bpm. Wonder what Mo Farah has? Often older retired sportspeople who have taken up testosterone replacement therapy might have slightly elevated blood pressure as a side effect, and possibly a slightly elevated resting pulse too.

From everything I heard about Hagler, he always kept in shape, stayed away from booze and drugs, worked out year round, healthy diet, so yes I'd definitely like to know why a healthy man just suddenly dies at 66.

Blocked arteries and a heart attack maybe? Or maybe he was already ill and the family we’re dealing with it privately.

A true legend and an all-time great, what a legacy he leaves. I am reminded of the quote from the late sportswriter Jimmy Cannon (I think it was him) when he heard of Rocky Marciano's death, "Just start counting ten over him, he'll soon get up."

RIP Champ.

Over shadowed by the Minter and Sibson fights is Kevin Finnegan's two fights against Hagler, shame there is no film of these bouts as far as I know. Both boxers now gone as well.
Hagler said that Finnegan was one of his toughest opponents.

Has that been verified? Would be truly awful if that's the way he went. One of the all time greatest Middleweight Champions for sure, would be tragic if he died from a vaccination that was trying to prevent an illness.

Well out of order that is,they were a bunch of idiots and you know that, disgraceful thing to say on here, shame on you and you are a mod ?
Just posting shite for a reaction chaps.
The blokes a nob.
Let's keep this about the great man and not this sarcastic prick.
Wasn't doing it for a reaction. It was just something that came to mind. I'm sure nobody on here had anything to do with it, and even the people that did it probably regretted it shortly thereafter when they realized what a talent Hagler was.

It is a fact, that's correct but to suggest it's ironic it's on a British forum when most posters on here worship the ground Hagler walks on was in bad taste and i'm sure many posters will agree with that.

How many of ‘us’ were there?

Probably 0.

Benn and Eubank used to fight groups of skinheads in London growing up.

well tbh, it's not like 66 is a spring chicken. all these ppl saying way too young, but he still made it to being a senior citizen. its not like dudes closer to 70 than to 60 dont get health issues all of a sudden

i am curious about the vaccine though, no one can say that any long term testing has been done on it, they are all rushing it out there. ppl have short memories if they dont think vaccines/meds without serious long term tests have caused major health problems. theyve already waivered on whether certain demographics should take the vaccines.

this isnt something like decades and decades of research which suggest the idea that vaccines cause autism is bs, this is all super new and with tons left to know

True enough. I'm sure the disappointment of Minter fans quickly shifted to Hagler admiration even during that time.

I don't doubt that. America most definitely ain't perfect either. Ali for instance I believe was not allowed to eat in a restaurant when he returned from the Olympics because he was Black. Every country had a lot of growing up to do on all that kinda sh*t. Some of 'em still do.

I just had my first jab (Astrozeneca). Fairly unpleasant couple of days though nowhere near as bad as Covid itself was

From the Mail Online: Anti-vaxxers hijack boxing legend Marvin Hagler's death after rival Tommy Hearns said he was 'in ICU fighting after-effects of vaccine': Boxer's family says 66-year-old actually died of natural causes at home.

Hagler's son James told TMZ his father was rushed to hospital with chest pains and was experiencing trouble breathing before dying about four hours later.

Tommy Hearns posts: 'Our love and respect to Marvin and his family, this is not an anti vaccine campaign.. it's outrageous to have that in mind during the passing of a King, Legend, Father, Husband and so much more.'
