A relative is going through some old photos and came across a photo of this amateur boxing team of 1947. I am unable to load the photo, but if someone would like to pro an email address I am happy to send it through for them to upload.
The team was N Archer (Qld champ), R Johnston, D Bennett, Don (Bronco) Johnson and perhaps a coach ? C Claxton..
My uncle, A (Bert) S Ruttiman was the team manager at the time. His wife, Mrs L Ruttiman (née Ison) was my mother’s sister. Bert & Laura lived in Cairns Qld for most of their life and later retired to Hervey Bay Qld. Bert died around 68 yrs of age from emphysema (smoker) and Laura lived til 104 yrs.
