Silyagin owned Abdugofurov in a one-sided fashion.

Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Adam Deines - March 20, 2021

artur just pecking away with short arm punches, would like to see him sit down and wing some into adam, he looks like he should be able to take him out if he really wanted

bert puts denies down with a left hook, deines corner raises the towel in round 10
it looked to me like bert was only going 70 percent on the gas in this fight, he will have to fight a lot harder vs joe smith

Think he was cruising through that to get a few rounds in. Very heavy hands on him though, no doubt about that.
Beterbiev v Bivol really should happen.

Canelo more or less schools Beterbiev, the fact that a 36 year old represents the toughest test for the p4p best boxer on the planet is a sad indication of the willingness to marinate fights as opposed to thinking trilogies, and i say that as not a fan of rematches in general but look at Crawford/Spence, both guys passed 30

i think bivol would be a tougher match for nelo, doesnt play into nelo's counter punching style as well
would love to see big banging joe smith in with the ginger one

Re: Artur Beterbiev vs. Adam Deines - March 20, 2021
Artur Beterbiev looked very ordinary against Adam Deines, who I predicted (six months ago) to be “a preposterously safe opponent that represents zero risk”.
And by the Russian’s own admission (to Timothy Bradley), he underperformed badly.
Perhaps it was due to 519 days of inactivity, his injuries, suffering from COVID-19 or his age, but he looked very beatable indeed.
Whatever the reason, Beterbiev “wasn’t good” against Deines (his words, not mine).
Interestingly though, some of my criticisms of Beterbiev that I conveyed to the forum back in October 2019 clearly applied to his performance against Deines:
And before any of Artur’s die-hard fans become emotionally-outraged by my words, Beterbiev himself conceded to Timthoy Bradley that he didn’t use the jab to the head and body of Deines.
Just to clarify my stance, to prove that I’m not a “hater”, during September 2017, I accurately predicted that Beterbiev would rule at 175lbs after Andre Ward’s retirement. So I was once one of Artur’s biggest fans, but times have changed, form is temporary and the sport doesn’t stand still.
And Beterbev’s performance last night has solidified a prediction I made six months ago:

There’s one additional stylistic flaw to add to my critique, which relates to Beterbiev’s poor/infrequent use of the jab.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑21 Oct 2019, 10:15Beterbiev lacks head movement, his work-rate is too low, he loads-up on his punches, his hands aren’t particularly fast, he blocks shots using a high guard rather than avoid them using footwork/upper body movement, he's been dropped and staggered etc.
Artur Beterbiev’s style is tailor-made for Canelo.

I’d slightly favour Canelo to beat Beterbiev right now, but if we have to wait until Cinco de May 2022 for this fight to happen, then I’d expect a 37½ year old iteration of the Russian to suffer a heavy defeat to the Mexican.

Beterbiev might be an all time great, thing is he already up there in age. He should fight Canelo next. Too bad Ward retired when he did that would have been a good one.
